Just looking for advice, we have a late dinner reservation at Narccoossees on 30th December and hope to watch the Magic Kingdom New Year fireworks from there (assuming these happen this year)

What is our best option for transport back to Swan/Dolphin hotels at that time.

Would it be Uber? Or monorail from hotel back to TTC as that is where the Swan buses do pick up?

many years ago we did New Years at EPCOT and needless to say the EXODUS after the midnight fireworks from ALL the parks made us DARN GLAD we were in the Contemp' and only needed to battle the Monorail which was still a zoo ..... is walking from GF to TTC out of the question? It is under a mile . . .

It will be crazy, and Uber/Lyft could be backed up as well as surge pricing. I might check both out, also check with the bell stand to see if a taxi is availble. The I'd probably take @Capt_BJ's advice and stroll down through the Polly to TTC.

Walk, monorail or boat to MK & take a bus to Boardwalk, then walk to Swan/ Dolphin. Again, depending on park hours & what time your dinner is. But buses run for at least an hour after park closure, so unless your dinner is really late, that should work.

All great suggestions thanks, I had forgotten about the Boardwalk bus option! My preference would be a boat from the dock beside Narcoossees and then a bus back to Epcot area hotels I think. We will be having dinner and heading off after the fireworks. Also prepared just to start walking!

We are in the Swan that week for walking access to Epcot for New Year but that is our one day at Magic Kingdom area if we want to potentially see the New Year fireworks there on 30th

Something to keep in mind…. Normally (key word) the midnight fireworks show on the 30th is “360 degrees” - meaning fireworks are shot off from several spots around the MK, including the island in the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon. I know this happens at Poly and I suspect it happens at GF too, but they pause boat transportation for a period before and after the show since the boats travel too close to the launch point. I’ve stayed at Poly for several NYEs now and every year I’ve seen a big backup after the show as it seems like it takes awhile for the boats to start going again.

So just be flexible in case you run into something similar at GF.

And just a warning that the MK bus plaza will be an absolute zoo after the late fireworks. If this were me, I’d be somewhat concerned about heading “into the beast” of all those people leaving MK and might try to opt for Uber/taxi from GF instead. Or walking from GF to the TTC and take the Swan/Dolphin transportation (if an option for you).

Sorry if you’re already well versed in the WDW NYE hoopla. I think it’s a ton of fun, but definitely need to have some options/alternatives in mind when getting around those days, IMO. Hope that helps!

Thanks, I have never been able to visit over Christmas/New Year before so have no experience but having been at California Grill once on 4th July was enough to let me knoow that this needs some planning!
