Getting From MagicKingdom to Cirque

Quick easy question-I think.

Is there a direct bus from MK to DownTownDisney?

No

Probably not I think that there are only busses from resorts to DTD and back

While that's a good idea I should mention that bus also shares with the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, so not sure how much faster that would be. Another option is taking the bus from Magic Kingdom to Saratoga Springs, then from there exiting at the Congress Park stop and using the walkway to Downtown Disney West Side.

Walking from Saratoga won't be any faster as they are going to the other side of Downtown Disney to get to Cirque. I would still go to the contemporary and get the DTD bus.

There are several options.

The easiest and most obvious is to take the DTD bus from Contemporary, as noted several times above. Whether to walk or monorail over to Contemporary is a personal decision. My opinion is that if you don't have any physical or health problems, then just do the walk ... it'll be quicker. If you take the monorail, you still have to walk up to the monorail station, then wait for the train, then wait until it leaves the station, then do the ride, then go from the monorail level of the Contemporary down to the ground floor and across and out the lobby and then go to the right to get to the bus stop.

There is also the Saratoga Springs Resort option that's noted above. But I present it with a twist. I agree it's a MORE than healthy walk from SSR to the Cirque theater. If you want to go this route, then take the but from MK to DTD ... get off at the Congress Park stop, then walk to the DTD Marketplace, then catch the water taxi at the dock near Capt. Jack's and Rainforest Cafe .... the water taxi will take you across to DTD West Side, and the dock is just about right at the Cirque location. This cuts out a lot of the walking, making it a similar walk to that from the MK entrance to the Contemporary.

From that entrance, you walk through the Marketplace, then walk through the former Pleasure Island, and then finally get to West Side. When you're standing at the water taxi dock next to Capt. Jack's and Rainforest Cafe, you can look across the lake at the Cirque theater. It's a straight line in terms of seeing it, but you can't walk a straight line between those two points because of the lake.

it's not a terrible walk, you can do it in 10 minutes if you're healthy. But for someone who's looking to minimize walking, the water taxi is a neat option.

If it were me, I would take the boat over to the GF, and hop on their bus to DTD. I have walked to CR to hop on a bus there, to another park. It's not a bad walk at all...about 8 mins. And yes, their buses do stop at other stops along the way. But, it's just not a big deal.
But..if time is not of the essence, take the boat over to GF....the boat stops there first, then goes on to the Polynesian. You then can walk into the GF, and over to the bus stops. The bus should go directly to DTD from there. But, you still have the walk over to Cirque. Does the boat still head over in that direction, from the dock by Captn Jack's? I wasn't sure.

I would take the express monorail to the TTC, and take a cab from there---there is a cab stand that generally has several waiting cabs. The bus routes to DTD are notoriously tedious, and with something like Cirque, you do not want to be late.

You could also catch a cab at CR or GF, but then you need to get out of the monorail area, which adds time (and expense) to the cab ride.

Well using that idea the OP could also use the walkway from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary and go right into a taxi because there is usually a couple of them waiting at the main entrance. Now on the off chance there is no taxi's just parked there a Cast Member can call for one and it will be there within 5 minutes.
