Getting from Dulles Airport to DC?

Jet Blue is running a promotion for 39 dollars a way from JFK to Dulles. How does one get from the airport to downtown DC? Metro? Thanks.

Flyer bus to metro station to downtown. It's very clearly marked on exit from baggage claim. Just always take a licensed bus as there are a lot of transportation sharks at Dulles.

Good thing I didn't get to you first--I was going to tell you it was so far you'd need to take another flight just to get to DC. Bavaria, see how much help I am over here on the Cummunity Forum--it's why I don't hang out much on the transportation forum.

Bavaria - Thanks so much! I checked out that bus thing and it takes me to the Falls-Church metro station. Thanks again.

Sorry! Forgot the Falls Church part - guess you would need to know that... actually, you don't - the transportation desk is very helpful.

I usually rent a car or have someone pick me up, so I've never done the bus/metro thing... but I DO ride the Metro quite often, and it's very easy/clean/quick. They even mailed me a cheque once for $10 when the ticket machine ate my bill!!!

T&B, maybe I can set up my own little Transportation thread here on the CB? It may be safer over here, you know! (I did actually venture back to Transportation today, and I think that my response to a poster was kind of snarky, now that I think back on it...)

You can also take Super Shuttle. I'm not sure what the cost is, but you can check them out at www.supershuttle.com

I never used them from Dulles, but I used them to get to/from National many times...

oh yea, I forgot that I DID take Supershuttle last year from Dulles out to Tigger&Belle territory (I don't just stalk her on the Community Board, ya know! )

Driver got lost and I had to give directions... and he was driving to a pretty significant landmark..... but they were pretty cheap and I did get there eventually in one piece.

I took a sedan service on the way back to Dulles on that trip.

Yup RT. You have to book by the end of this month I believe. Most fares are 39 but there's a couple that are 59. I priced it today (didn't pay yet) and it's 109 total after taxes and all. Have to travel by 9/30 I believe.
