We are hoping to do DTD check-in this year, with Virgin. Last year, we just stayed at DTD all day until our airport transfer, but this year we would like to have a final visit to one of the parks.

Could anyone tell me the best way to get to the parks from DTD and, if possible, where the buses/transport go from.

Many thanks
Joh

I think from DTD you go to the transport centre and from there you can get a bus to anywhere in WDW. If you dont want to carry your hand luggage around with you you can rent lockers in the parks.

I know its a bit cheeky, but you could go to another hotel if its quicker and then get on the next bus to whereever you want to go. If you want to go and see Magic Kingdom then you could go to either Grand Floridian, Poly or comtempory and use the monorail. Contempary is in walking distance to Magic Kingdom.

I'm pretty sure that all parks have buses to DTD so therefore they must do the journey in reverse. I think they are less frequent though so allow plenty of time.

I am pretty certain that there are no longer direct buses from DTD to any of the parks - I think they stopped providing them because people were parking at DTD (for free) to avoid the car park charge at each of the parks.

This means you have to get a bus from DTD to one of the Disney hotels and then go on to a park from there. If you went to one of the monorail resorts that would be easier than having to get on another bus.

If you want to be 100% certian about this, you could post a question on the transport board - there is a very helpful Cast Member (who used to drive Disney buses) called Tyler who always gives great and very informative answers to questions on Disney transport.
Hope this helps,

There are no buses to or from DTD and the parks. You would have to go via a hotel.

I would suggest you check in at DTD, then take the boat to either Saratoga Springs (every hour) or Port Orleans (every 30 minutes). You can get a bus to any park from one of those resorts, and the boat ride is also a nice activity as an extra.

As others have said, definitely no buses direct to DTD from the parks or vice versa.

If you are going to Epcot, I would jump on one of the Epcot resort buses and walk over via the International Gateway. For MK I would get on an MK resort bus and then go via monorail / boat.

The boat to SSR ony runs once per hour during the day time - it increases to twice per hour in the evenings so may not be the best option from a speed perspective. Or you could walk over there and catch a bus but I think the bus to resort option would be quicker (as described above)
