Getting from DLR to Dodger Stadium

Hi all. Sorry for the unconventional question, but we will be at Disneyland when the National League Division Series will be in town.
We are considering going, but we won't have a car.
What is the best way to get there - maybe Lyft? Or is there a direct bus/public transit?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks in advance!

Traffic will most likely be a wreck (60-90 minutes minimum?).

I haven’t personally used it, but I’ve had friends who’ve taken the Dodger Express from the South Bay location and said it was an easy experience. You could take the Metro or Amtrak from the Anaheim station to Union Station and transfer to the Dodger Express. No matter what you do, I’m sure the cost will seem like a steal compared to what you’ll have to pay for the tickets ;)

I would recommend taking the train/Dodger Express. You can uber back after the game.

I took the bus from DL bus area straight to the game and back. That was a couple of years ago. They didn't even charge me!

I'd avoid driving if possible (and my driving I mean taking a mode of transpo that drives you there, whether you actually drive or not). Traffic in that area can be an absolute nightmare, and during a playoff game will be even worse. I agree with the train and Dodger Express idea.

great, thanks all! I will look into the Dodger Express - sounds like that is the best option if we do this!
this board is great for everything!
thanks all!

Go Big Blue!!!!

When we're in LA we usually Uber to Union Station from whatever hotel we're staying at and take the Dodger Express from there to the Stadium and back after the game. It's free (you need to show your ticket) and lots faster after the game. Trying to get out of the parking lot after a game is an absolute nightmare and can take hours.

Just allow plenty of time. We normally take the earliest possible shuttle to the Stadium before the game. IIRC the Express starts running 90 minutes before the game starts.

It looks like the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (i.e., the train station) is within two miles of Disneyland. The train ride-time to Union Station runs about an hour. Then Dodger Stadium is approximately a mile from LA's Union. I've never done the trek myself. I'm from Chicago originally and relied absolutely on the mass transit there. Not so in LA. I moved here on a Tuesday and had a car by Friday. I've been on the LA buses or subway less than ten times in six years so I'm no expert.

As others have mentioned, there's a bus from LA Union Station to Dodger Stadium. Getting back to Anaheim will be the hard part as there are no late-night trains (10:20pm the latest) so you would need to Uber/Lyft back.

Keep in mind that the game times are probably not going to be announced until at least Monday, and the later ones can be subject to change, so you will probably want to hold on booking anything!

For the 5:30pm start the 10:20pm return train is doable. Iffy for the game 2 6:30pm start.

Doable unless it's another 18 inning game like the last year's WS game I went to. It started around 5pm and it was over around 12.30 am. Now THAT was a game!

Also agree on the train to Union Station and then the Dodger Express. I hope you are a Dodgers fan as their fans are not very nice to non-Dodgers fans. We went to one of the play off games in 2017 against the Cubs since we are Cubs fans, and we will not ever go back. The fans were horrible.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. By and large we're just regular folks out to love and support our team. We try to welcome other fans with open hearts. As we say "We all share the love of the game, even if we don't all love the same team".

To be fair, Cubs fans have a pretty bad repuation in away stadiums (said as someone who has seen them in at least 4 away stadiums)
