Is this easily walkable with 3 young kids or is it best to take the monorail to Downtown Disney? We are taking the kids to Goofy's kitchen for brunch in the middle of the day and, although I know the hotel is obviously close to the park, I was not sure the best way to get there. Thanks!

If you take the monorail, it will let you out very close to the DLH Hotel. You'll pick the monorail up in Tomorrowland, right over the Nemo Sub area.

If you choose to walk it, you would go out main street and all the way through DTD. The main problem might be that you will be walking by The World of Disney Store, Libby Lu, Build-A-Bear, and various cart vendors that offer everything from cotton candy, and Kettle Corn to face painting, hair wrapping and pearls. It might just be easiest to avoid all that regardless of your children's hiking skills :goodvibes and take the monorail.

Have a wonderful trip!

I'd take the monorail. It would be much easier on little legs and faster too. If you want to walk through DTD, wait until after your meal for a casual stroll.

I agree, grab the monorail. Oh, and ask a CM to sit up front. That's the best way to take the monorail!

It is easily walkable, kind of like walking the entire length of a large mall... but I agree that the monorail is an especially nice break, midday.

I would suggest that you sort plan to be in the Tomorrowland area of the park, though, near the time you need to leave. I would also leave yourself plenty of time. Lots of other people have the same idea about taking the monorail out to DTD for lunch, and you are not guaranteed to walk on it. It can take awhile to get on, you won't necessarily get on the first train that comes.

Depends on how many monorails are running. We had quite a wait for monorail purple a couple of weeks ago. I'd only do the monorail if you either had plenty of time to wait for it, or 2 monorails are taking passengers when you are there (monorail red has been running, but not taking passengers yet).

I think that if you leave enough time to walk and take in the sights of DD it can be enjoyable. I believe the walk is just under a 1/2 mile to put it into perspective.
