Getting from Disney to Universal

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but I guess someone will move it if necessary.

I haven't been to Universal in at least 8 years. The past few trips we've always stayed on Disney property for the whole trip. We're considering possibly going to Universal this trip since we haven't gone in so long. We're just trying to figure out how much it would cost since it's an extra pass and also extra for transportation. Does anyone know the cheapest way to get from a Disney resort to Universal and back? How much would it cost for a group of 6? We're trying to figure if it's worth it to go for one or two days and what would be the cheapest - taxi/renting a car/etc.

Your best bet is probably going to be Mears. The round trip far is $18.00 per person and they can set up a schedule for your group with a 24 hour notice. Check out their website for more information.
