I spoke to Mears earlier and was told we could get a taxi from All Star Sports to RPH for $45 plus tip. I called back shortly after and was told it would cost a total of $64 to go from RPH to the airport. Is this the best rate I should expect to get? If not, how can I do better?

You rent the car if you are comfortable with driving. Disney brainwashes people into not renting the car because they have the magic ride to/from the airport, and most never leave the property.

But that's changing as people dip their toe giving Universal and Sea World a try.

Yes, you pay for the rental fee, parking at Universal/SWF, and gas, but the convenience factor makes up for it. Try Thrifty rental car.

A cab would be cheaper.

So would I just ask for the front desk of each hotel to just call us a cab to get to RPH and then to the airport? We have a very early flight out...we leave Orlando at 7:00 AM so we would have to be there by 5:00. What do you think the approximate cost might be? By the way I have car reserved right now from Dollar but I don't really want to drive if I can avoid it.

There are always cabs at the hotels. The guys will just call one over or you can arrange with the concierge the night before. The cost is under $40.

As always thanks for the quick response....

i think it is cheaper than 40 from UO hotels to mco.
and by going when there is not traffic would make it cheaper.

you are charged by mileage and time in the cab.

Once you add a tip in there, it is pretty close to $40 and don't forget the tolls.
