Getting from boardwalk to port orleans

After spending a day at Epcot staying until it closed I was thinking of walking over to Boardwalk and hanging out for a couple of hours, what would be the best way to get back to our resort at Port orleans?

The best way? Take a cab.

I would say a taxi or take the bus to Downtown Disney and change bus there to Port Orleans. Taxi is the quickest most likely.

I would take the boat from DTD rather than the bus.

The water taxi runs every ten minutes after 4 pm and its last trip leaves in order to arrive and complete its journey back to POR for the night around 11 pm. It is the quickest for me. I do it from BW all the time and never wait more than 15 minutes there for a DTD bus. It is a wonderful way to close out the evening.

Another vote for a taxi. If you didn't want to spend the money, then I would probably opt for the bus to DTD and then transfer to either a bus or boat (depending on the timing). I've had mixed luck with the buses to DTD from BW; it's usually okay going to DTD, but the route can be shared by all five Epcot resorts, so the bus may be very full by the time it gets to BW.

You could also jump the first bus to a theme park then transfer to a POR bus (if it's not late). DTD traffic is crazy with all the construction.

We do this at least once or twice on our yearly trips. Yes, a cab is much quicker (we've done this when we are completely exhausted), but usually we get a bus from Boardwalk Inn to DTD; then get on the boat to your PO resort (we stay at POFQ). It's actually a quite enjoyable way to end your night.

Uber will be quick, easy and less expensive than a taxi.
