Getting from ASM to WL with power WC?

Can someone tell me the easiest, quickest way to travel from All Star Music to Wilderness Lodge for a 7:50 pm dinner @ Artist Point? DH uses a power wheelchair. It looks like we would do best taking a bus from ASM to MK and then a bus or boat to WL. Is that correct? How much time should we allow for this?

That's the best route. I'd plan on a little over an hour especially if you have to wait for a bus. Boat might be more funr, but the bus from MK to WL would be faster and less distance to travel.

Thanks! We usually drive & have our van, but airfare is costing almost the same as gas. (By Oct. we might even save money driving!) We've only stayed at AS once & didn't use the bus system there. Should I expect long waits?

The other thing is, there's no guarantee that by going by bus, your DH will be able to both get ON the boat at MK and get OFF the boat at WL. Trust me from personal experience, sometimes you can do one, but not necessarily the other, due to water levels (and there are times that CMs forget to warn you about this). The bus might be a bit of a pain, but, trust me, it'll be less of a pain than having to lift DH & his power chair from the boat to the dock!

I'd second the bus.
The boat is more fun, but the one time we stayed at WL, we sometimes had to lift DD in her manual chair onto the boat because the water level and dock level were too far apart.

Yikes! So you could get on at MK but not be able to get off at WL!! I'm so glad I decided to ask the question! DH isn't that heavy, but his WC sure is! Thanks everyone for letting us know about that!!

We'll definitely go with the bus! How much time should we allow to get there for our dinner at 7:50?
