Getting from AK to Boma

What time would you recommend we leave AK in order to get to AKL for dinner at BOMA at 5:40? We will be traveling by car.

Once you are in your car it will take you less than 5 minutes to get to the resort...they are very close. Just give yourself time to park and walk inside unless you valet. I am anal about being places on time so I would probably be at my car in the AK parking lot at about 5:00 or 5:15 then you can sit in the bar while you wait or just check out the lodge.

I agree with PP on time. AKL is "across the street! After dinner be sure to go out to the animal viewing area and do the night vision goggles thing. It's interesting.

If you've never been to AKL, I would leave a little early to be able to check out the animals during the daylight, as it will probably be dark by the time you are finished. Then you can see the nighttime perspective after dinner.

I would take Amanda's advice so that you have an opportunity to see the savannahs during daylight. There is a great viewing area just past the pool (look for elevators on the right hand side after entering main doors), also walk straight through the lobby for another viewing area or take either of the main corridors to see other viewing areas. It would be very easy to kill an hour or two exploring the resort before your adr.
