Getting Disney Gift Cards Shipped to Canada

My mom wants to buy a Disney gift card for my daughter for an upcoming trip. When she tries to check out at the online Disney store, she gets a message that says that the card cannot be shipped internationally.

Does anyone know how to get a Disney gift card shipped to Canada?

I think she would have to purchase it in person and then send it to Canada. If she is not near a Disney Store I think some US grocery stores (maybe Safeway or Giant Eagle) carry them.

This may not help but you can buy them in Walgreen's drug store in Buffalo

Does anyone know if you have a used Disney Gift Card with no money left on it, can you add money to it in american by phone? or do you have to be at a Disney Store, Disney Park to add the money to it?

I wondered the same thing myself whether we could upload one of our used gift cards online like we can do for the Tim Horton's cards....this is what the Disneyshopping site stated:

Where can I reload my Disney Gift Card?
Disney Gift Cards can be reloaded at most locations that sell Disney Gift Cards. DisneyStore.com cannot reload Disney Gift Cards or DisneyStore.com Online Gift Cards at this time.

It makes no mention of topping up a card by phone.

Well my suggestion is if u know someone in the states that would send u a card that would be the easiest way.
Its a pain sometimes, I love shopping online but most places will not ship here or even take a canadian credit card for shipping throughout the states.

Not sure where you live but I use an address in Lewiston to have things shipped to all the time at a cost of $5 per pkg. Haven't had any probs with Canadian credit cards but it doesn't surprise me. It is getting ridiculous with US banks vs Canadian banks. My DD attends school in NYC and the banking fiascos are making me crazy!!!
