As members, can we make dining ressies through DVC? I was thinking about going ahead and making these tonight, hopefully catching WDW reservations at a slow time. But if the phone lines are tied up for awhile, considering waiting til tommorow or Tues and make through DVC if possible. These are not on any plan other than the fact we will be staying at VWL for our trip.

We've done both ways. It just depends on when we decide to make ADR's and if MS is open at that moment of inspiration.

I call WDW Dining - they are open longer hours and on Weekends. They have a toll free number, too.

Mondays are very busy for MS, so I only call them on Mondays if I need to make a hard to get DVC reservation.

Best wishes -

I spoke to WDW Dine yesterday with very little wait. I must say I am surprised how many restaurants are already "sold out" for ADR's the beginning of December. Must be the popularity of the Dining Plan too.

Like a lot of people I call Disney Dining instead of MS. I've never found that using MS gives any kind of edge. I also don't have to think about what time is it and is MS still open.

I use my free minutes on my cell phone to call Disney Dining. Never had any problem getting in to them.

Thanks to all for the replies. I called last night and glad I did. Lots of places that we usually eat at were booked for times we normally eat. Our 1st night, we eat at Ohana. Couldnt get in til 8:20. WCC was booked til 9:40 so we went for a 2:40 lunch. Le Cellier was another hard to get ressie. We asked for late lunch or early dinner. Only thing available, 12:50 lunch. LTT was a no-getter.
Is the Dining plan whats throwing the wrench into getting ressies these days? We used to have no problem at all.
