Getting Christmas Gifts to SSR?

Do you pack Christmas gifts with your luggage or ship via FedEx/UPS/other in advance of your trip?

Just a tip, if you pack gifts in your carry on be sure they are not wrapped as they may unwrap them at security. I pack the gifts in carry ons but bring the wrap paper separate or buy Disney wrap paper once I get there.

I have used The UPS Store to ship home items when I have gone crazy purchasing such as on the DCL. There is one not far from Goodings and they did a great job.

I am sure more will add comments here regarding shipping to the resorts though. Good luck!

Our UPS store recognizes me as someone who ships a (DVC) Christmas tree to WDW each year. I've found the service to be very good and getting the things back has worked fine too! So, that's what I would go with!

I would send them UPS( but I also work for them) just please pack them well and also put the a secnd label inside the package just in case. If a problem happens this will help keep the package in route.

We fedex our gifts down to WDW

This is what a cm told me to do:

Put the following information on the box in addtion to the normal address:
1. check-in date
2. Resort reservation number

CM said this helps bell services organize all the boxes that are arriving.

For those of you who ship your packages down, how do you get them home? I want to send some stuff down but we wont have a car so we can't get to UPS or FEDEX to ship items back.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone. Looks like we need to finish shopping and wrap and ship the gifts before the holiday deadlines.

We plan to leave room in our luggage or maybe take an extra suitcase to get our gifts and other "stuff" home. We'll take the kids' electronics in our carry-ons, but the rest should travel ok with our checked bags.

Only 5 weeks and counting! We'll be there before we know it.
