Hello every one, on the 9th of may im gonna stay at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort, and i want to go to the mall at millenia.
How can i get there by bus?
I looked over and over at the golynx bus site and just got confused as hell.
Whats the best and fast way to get to the mall at millenia?
Thanks,
Daphne :(

I would also say taxi would be the fastest and easiest. According to Lynx's web site, there would be at least three bus transfers involved and a travel time of over two hours one way, not counting getting a Disney bus to one of the Lynx stops at Disney. I would recommend taking Disney transport to DTD, and catching a cab there, as it would be the closest point on property to the mall. Depending on how many shopping bags you have, you can either return to DTD and take Disney transport or take the cab all the way to the hotel.

The mall is only a few minutes away by car. You should be able to get a good idea of cab fare using the fare estimator on Mears website.

i checked on the google maps, it says its a 23 min drive, 15.4 miles.
will it be expensive on a taxi?

Personally I don't think going out of your way to get to the mall is worth it. It's just like any other mall but the prices are higher.

i want to go to the millenia mall, because of the apple store, i want to buy there an iphone... (thats the only reason) and im going to be at orlando only 5 days, and than im off to new york, but the problem that in new york, its a problem to get one, they're selling like hot cakes :(
thats why i really really really want to go to that mall...the florida mall is 2 more miles faraway than the mall at millenia...
and i cant order to my house an iphone cause im not a U.S citizen, and in my country they dont sell any iphones, we dont even have an apple store :(

Can you have Apple ship one to your resort? I have had Apple ship new and replacement iPods and shuffles to me in past, and I pretty much live in hotels for most of the year.

I work very close to Millenia Mall, and have often made the drive to and from Disney to work. I would say if traffic is flowing smoothly on I-4, that it is about a 15-20 minute drive from DTD to the mall. I know I was able to leave work, drive to DTD, get my AP renewed at Guest Relations, and get back to work, all in a lunch hour.

If you are only going to the mall for one thing, and not planning on spending the day shopping around, then you may not mind spending two hours each way on the bus to save money. Or, you could take the bus to the mall, and a taxi back, to cut the cost in half. The fare estimator on Mears website says it's 14 miles and will cost approximately $32.45, one way.

For $65, you might want to consider renting a car for the day. You can rent a car on Disney property, and you would have it to use not just to make your quick trip to the mall, but maybe a day trip to the beach or other off property theme parks.

It looks like this trip can be made by Lynx with just one change of buses, from link 50 to link 40, in Downtown Orlando at the Lynx Central Station. The trip will take 1 hour 49 minutes one-way, and that is the time from the Downtown Disney West Side bus stop - not your resort. But it can be done.

I am not sure how much of a walk there is from the link 40 stop and the mall (3,500 feet??? That doesn't sound right.).

i don’t know if i can ship the iphone to the resort (i guess not cause you need an American address of a private house). me and my mom plan one day for a shopping spree... so i guess I’ll take the bus, cause the day is planned for us for that reason...and we'll probably go out early on the morning so maybe there’s not gonna be to much traffic and the ride will go smooth and faster.
i guess after looking around and buying my self the iphone Maybe we'll go to check out the Florida mall as well :)
Just talked to my folks, about renting a car for a day. guess we will do that option, its the best way, we can go check out the mall at millenia and than check out the florida mall, and guess we'll go to some more famous site at orlando, the universal studio's maybe :0
Thanks every one!
