Getting Bumped????

Hi . I am new to DVC and have been reading posts about people in AKV getting "bumped " from their savannah view and had a few what if questions.

We are booked 11/28 - 12/5 09 for a 1br Savannah View in Kidani Village. If something were to happen and we got "bumped" to a standard view, of course I would not be thrilled, but we would deal with it. My question pertains to the return of points for the difference between the savannah and standard.

Our UY is DEC. So we used 08 UY points for 11/28 through 11/30. Since the December 1-5 dates fell into UY 09, we banked the 08 points into 09 and used some of them for Dec 1-5.

IF we were to get bumped .........and DVC was to refund points to us, would they be placed into the 09 UY for us ? Since we would be way beyond our banking window of 7/31? Or would they go into the 08 UY essentially rendering them useless ????

The time period for the "bumps" is 1/15/09 to 4/15/09 while they are preparing the landscaping for the Kidani building.

As Debbie say's, the period in question is now until April. However, IF you ever get "bumped" they refund your points and from what I was told by MS, they work with you and won't put the points in a place that would cause you to loose them. Just what I was told, no personal experience with this.
