My daughters decided to get their black heeled shoes on and dance in my kitchen and now there are black skid marks all over my floor....any tips on how to get them out ? Some came off with a bit of elbow grease, others are a bit tougher....

Thanks in advance,
Tiffany

Is it a vinyl floor? Try a little Bon Ami on a wet sponge; or a little Comet or Ajax - rub VERY lightly.

I've never tried it but I think I heard that rubbing with a tennis ball removes them. And I did see the custodian at the school using a tennis ball on a stick on the cafeteria floors.

Another vote for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser...at our house, we think they really ARE magic!!!

I do have some of the goo gone stuff, I will try that. :thumbsup2

This is easy, take your toe, with a sock on, and rub it off. They WON'T come off if you get them wet, just rub it off with your toe. It will take about 2 seconds to take mark off.

I tried the goof off and it worked :thumbsup2 Goof off worked for the mess my goof off daughters made :lmao:

Still would like to hear what works for others in case this happens again and I run out of goof off ;)

That's what I've done and it's very easy to get them off. I'm all for easy!

Mr. Clean eraser. It works like a charm on almost anything. :cheer2:

Does the magic eraser work on permanent marker by anychance?? :lmao:

I always heard that you take the same shoe that made the mark and rub the floor with it.

I had a part time job cleaning a bank once. My co-workers taught me a little trick for removing those black scuff marks. Just spray the mark with a little WD-40 lubricant oil. Then wipe off with a clean cloth. You don't even need elbow grease. This worked great on all floor types, including hardwood.

Dry cheap (coarse) paper towel works wonders. Just rub and the marks come right off.
