Getting Between OKW and SSR without a car?

Can you walk between the two or does the DTD ferry connect them (without transferring at DTD)? If so, any idea how long the walk or ferry ride would normally be and is it something that would be realistic to plan on staying at SSR and heading over to OKW for an afternoon, or vice versa? They are very close depending on the exact room location.

The checkin areas for SSR and OWK at 1.3 miles apart via car and roads or 1.1 miles via the walking path, but the Treehouse or grandstand to Hospitality House rooms are much closer and an easy walk.

I would take the SSR boat to Downtown Disney and then the boat from DD to OKW if you want to avoid a walk.

Thank you. Would it be closer/easier to stay at OKW and make our way to SSR main area to eat, have spa treatment, etc. or stay at SSR and make our way to OKW main area to soak up the atmosphere (I like palm trees when I'm sunning) and visit gurgling suitcase? Or would either be the same. I guess what I mean is whether SSR's main area is closer to the edge of OKW or is OKW's main area closer to the edge of SSR?

Also, can you walk to Port Orleans from OKW? I looked at google maps, and it looks like it is only .7 mile, but I'm not sure if the roads are suited for walking.

I find it easier to stay at one and enjoy it. Split stay at all possible for you?

Take the walkway by OKW Building 55 between the golf course and the canal/waterway towards DTD. Follow that until you come to the bridge across the waterway by the golf course practice putting green, go across the bridge (watch out for the golf carts), turn right along the other side of the waterway to the club house/restaurant, go up the stairs, and you will be in Artist's Palette. Go out the other side of AP, you will be looking over the SSR main pool, and the spa/gym will be to your right.

Do not plan on walking from OKW/SSR to PO, the road has no side walks and it is not safe to walk along the waterway (snakes & gators).

Nope, that isn't possible without walking through a construction area or walking alongside the main roads. Disney Security will pick you up if they see you walking on the roads. And they won't be full of pixie dust.

You can take a boat from OKW to DTD, then the transfer boat from the OKW/SSR dock to the POR/POFQ dock, then the boat from DTD to POR/POFQ.
