Getting Band From Vmk

I hear if you have yeti chairs after tomorrow you will get band from vmk so people are saying sell your yeti chairs but i do not think that is fair i mean hey people who have them got lucky

If you heard this is this true?

Well, schmoofy and Karo got banned for "Hacking" And, staff says that if you have those chairs and trade them, BOTH of you will get banned..

Well, you need to be careful not to get caught with them until they officially come out. So try not to say anything about the chairs. There are reports of 30 DAY bans, so just be careful

I can't believe they are actually banning people for having something through a mistake on their part...

and for that length of time-

why not just tell the person -"sorry you aren't supposed to have that" We will have to take it at this time.

Or block all the codes that produce those items...

Hi everyone-

This may make some mad but I think VMK is very wrong about how they are going about this from what I am reading....


It seems many have traded and/or been gifted these items and to ban or even remove these things from their inventory is just wrong.

I still have lack Cursed storm because VMK never fixed my Pirate Magic and I can not enter a code to get it on CL_Maltoo. I am still not happy with VMK about this. I did not make the mistake of releasing bad codes and I did buy the cereal to get the codes. They DID! We can not trade these 3 magic pins so I just will never have this magic on my Main Character.

I think if people who have received these items via trade or gift get a ban they we should all ban together on a letter writting campaign.

This is so wrong. Now for the ones who got the items to begin with VMK and they(the two that were accused of hacking)are the only ones who know the truth. Iam not saying that they did or did not hack because I do not know.

This is not going to be a popular opinion but I feel it is necessary to point something out.

On the other popular VMK site, members were posting about "changing urls" to try to "trick" for codes after finding out about the bug that gave Karo his chair the first time. Folks, this is hacking.

In Karo's case, he said when he got the first chair, he kept playing so that he could give "additional chairs" to friends so he would not be "special" by having the only one. While that is commendable to want to share, I am afraid it is rather backward reasoning since he could not gift ALL players but only those fortunate enough to be on his friend's list. VMK has no way to know if he was getting the codes from bugs in the game or hacking. In any case, since he knew that Episode 2 was not yet released and his acquisition of the chairs was a mistake, why keep trying to get more. If he had just accepted his good fortune from a bug and quietly kept the chair in inventory until Episode 2 was released and all guests could have the chairs, nothing would have been said. I suspect the effort to get additional chairs and showcasing them in rooms was what actually led to the banning.

Karo showed misjudgement on his part and, while a 30 day ban seems harsh, he is not entirely blameless in this matter since he kept trying for additional chairs.

That just makes me mad! They could have asked them to give them to the staff not banning them! Give them a chance... CL_Karoinzet I am so sorry That is not fair because if you have been gifted with it than it's not your fault.

Off-topic briefly: Mal, send a message to the black hole, and a 2-3 months from now, you'll get Cursed Storm.

Way back in beta, I also purchased a box of "Cinnamon Krunchers" (horrid stuff), which had the Cursed Storm code, but got caught in the code mix-up too. I got fed up back in October or so, and sent them a message that I was affected by the code mix-up. Early this month, I got an email that they had placed it in my inventory. Woohoo...

yeti chairs are the rail road cars alyuel and yavn have in there rooms. i cant belive those ppl got ban for that, VMK should not do this!
