It has been awhile since I have visted WISH. A lot has happened, some good, some not so good.

Back in October I found out that I was going to have to move by June. Of course this turned my life upside down. With a dog I knew finding an apartment or house to rent would not be very easy. I chose not to worry to much about it until after the holiday and our Christmas trip to Disneyland.

So jump to January...knowing how hard it would be to find a place to rent my mind went to thinking about actually BUYING a house, something I thought would NEVER happen. But with the down turn in the market and foreclosures it became possible. After being outbid on two houses things were getting stressfull and I thought I was never going to find a place. Well I did finally find a house. So I closed on my house in Mid-April and have been busily getting to be "home." - that's the good news

Well let me tell you in this time of stress those old habbit began to crep back in. - This is the bad news...I have gained what I estimate to be 20 pounds. I have been too scared to get back on the scale. But tomorrow I will get on that scale and face that UGLY TRUTH of just what reverting to those old bad habits did.

I have been walking about 30 mins at least 5 times per week. And this week I have added my In Home Walking (WATP) DVD's 2 times in the evening.

My goal is to keep walking each morning (the dog is helping with that) and doing the In Home Walking DVD's 5 times each week. I also am going to start journaling my food & exercise again. Keeping myself on track and accountable.

I worked way to hard to lose this weight and I refuse to give in and be that FAT person again.

Glad you have found your way back to us. Life does get in the way at times and you had a lot on your plate at one time. Congratulations on the purchase of your new home, that is awesome too!!

Sounds like you are on the right track and are taking the baby steps back in which is always helpful and won't be so overwhelming.

Welcome back!!

Welcome back, Christa! Lots of room on the wagon here so come on up! :goodvibes

Congratulations on your new home. I am sorry that it was a stressful time getting there.

Sounds like you have a great plan to get back on track. You are welcome to join us on the BL Summer Challenge thread -- there are still about six weeks to go so lots of time to get a jump start on things!

Good luck!

Welcome back, Christa! And a big congrats on hanging in there and buying a house! :cheer2: Sounds like you have a good plan in place for getting back on track and the determination to make it happen. I'm sure you'll do great!

Thanks everyone. I know I can do this. I just can't believe that I allowed myself to go back to the old/bad habits. My biggest downfall was not taking time for me during everything and getting away from exercise.

Today has been a good day. I did a 30+ min walk this morning and will do another this evening (in place of a dvd). My food intake is where it should be.

I forgot to weigh before my walk this morning but did it after and OMG that number SUCKS! I will weigh again tomorrow BEFORE my walk to get a more accurate number.

:welcome: back!

you have taken the first and hardest step, and if I know you, you'll be posting mini-goals achieved in no time! i know it's crappy when the time comes to be truthful with yourself about the results of your habits....been there and still struggle with that. perservere i say!!

I'm in the same boat. Just started walking again this week and eating properly. The number on the scale is very scary, but with perserverece we will get ahead again!

Welcome back and congratulations on your new home!! That is awesome, and must give you a proud sense of accomplishment.

It is so hard when we fall back into our old, bad habits, but we all do it, but by coming here, and starting your exercise, and eating plan, you'll be losing that weight in no time.

One week back on track and I am down 3.4lbs. This is more than I expected and hope it won't make next weeks # dismal.

I have walked each morning and exercised each night but Tuesday because I had to work late. Tuesdays & Sundays are suppose to be my nights off but it seems more often and then not I get dog walk duties on Sunday nights.

I have kept my calories within range and on more than one occasion had to make sure to eat a little more at the end of the day to keep from going to low.

Welcome Back Christa!

:cheer2: Congratulations on your new home!

:cheer2: Congratulations for getting back on that wagon!

:cheer2: Congratulations for getting back to the healthy lifestyle!

:cheer2: Congratulations for knowing to not ever give up!

You are doing it! Be proud! :cheer2:

Had a good loss last week (1.4#). Had some stumblings along the way with evening exercise - my hip/groin injury that plagged me last summer is giving me a bit of trouble, so I have to make sure to not over do it and STRETCH! Then there is the old work & kids getting in the way. Had a business meeting on Friday that was plagued with not good food choices & then my dd went out with friends leaving me to the evening dog walk. Then on Saturday life got in the way again (won't go into details) and I ended up having to be out of the house for a couple hours in the evening so I couldn't do my normal WATP but did do a dog walk. SO not a complete loss.

So far this week has been good. Food is in check. Exercise is in check.

Good job Christa!!! I'm very impressed (and a little jealous) that you've been so regular with your exercise. For whatever reason exercise is my demise, I hate to have to do it after a long day at work. Which, you would think, would mean I would get up early and do it, but alas I am too lazy. Kudos to you! You should be very proud of yourself. Personally I find that journaling my food helps a lot! I'm more in the maintaining arena, but I know that exercise will help me be a more healthy persona in general. Now if I could only get motivated to move more.
