Am wondering can I use my vehicle to get to the other parks and reosrts while staying on property?

I noticed that if you are staying at one the the resorts then parking is free. Does that apply to parking at the parks itself?

What are the pros and cons of this would love to hear from those of you that have gone that way rather than using the buses or taxis!

Thank you! :car:

When you check in at your WDW resort, you can get a parking pass that lets you park at the parks for free. Parking at resorts can be tricky, depending on the situation. You're not allowed to park at the Poly for the day and visit the MK. Many people here (including me) have reported getting a three hour parking permit at the Poly, and some have reported seeing cars getting towed.

Driving around WDW doesn't seem to be much of a problem. The roads are very well marked. And when you check in you can ask for a roadmap. Usually my husband navigates while I drive, so sometimes we take the back way to get someplace.

Parking at the parks is free for onsite resort guests. Generally navigating around Disney is relatively easy, the roads are very well marked. The only park that would be a "hassle" driving to would be the MK. You have to park at the lot at the TTC and then take either the monorail or the ferry to the MK.
I like using the buses to go to the parks, but that is just me...I would never consider using a cab to go to the parks, I have used a cab to go from one resort to another when I was running late for a dining reservation.

I always drive my car. the buses at the value resorts are terrible. Two different vacations now we have stayed at Pop Century and waited and waited and waited, etc. for the bus at MK to go back to resort. I just like the idea that I can get in my car and leave instead of standing in another disney line. Like the other poster stated, mk you have to park at TTC and then take the monorail to the park. but you do have the trams so you are not really walking that much in the parking lots. The only bad side is when when you get back to the resort it is hard to find a good parking place.
