I am thinking of staying at the campground for the first time with 2 small children. Are there cabin numbers that are better for catching the internal bus or getting around? Looking at a map If you are in the center it looks like you could catch the bus on either side depending on which direction you are heading. Am I thinking too much into this , let me know?? Thanks

When you look at the maps note where the bus stops are and request a loop near the stops. The loops are one way roads that enter and exit on the Peacock pass ( purple route ).There are no stops on the Fort Wilderness Trail that backs up to the cabins,so you really can't cut through the woods. Request a cabin near a bus stop, they will try to help you out. Loops 2100 and 2200 are near a stop and also close to the Meadows trading post.Loop 2500 is near a bus stop and the quiet pool.Have a really great trip ,you will love Fort Wilderness,we do.

Amen, rent a golf cart if the kids aren't too young. The carts are so much fun that we went out and bought one to take with us wherever we go.

just wondering, how much is a golf cart to buy? can they be bought used, maybe at a golf course?
