My question is we are wanting to go one morning to a water park and then go to magic kingdom. I know we will have to do a lot of bus switching and long travel time. Can we drive to the water park and then drive to magic kingdom. We are staying on property at Pop. If we are able to drive will have to pay to park? What would be the best thing for us to do? We have a reservation at 6:30 for BOG.

As you are staying at Pop you will have a parking pass that will allow you to park for free at all of the parks. (I do not believe there is a cost for parking at the water parks for anyone.)

Please note that parking 'at' the Magic Kingdom is an area across the lake. You will need to take transportation from your car to the Magic Kingdom either by monorail or ferry.

I knew we would have to go across the water. I am just thinking that it will be faster to drive our own car this day since a bus does not go from a water park to a park. I do not want to have to cancel going to the water park because of time on the bus system.

It really depends on how late you want to stay at the water park. If you want to stay until the last possible minute, you're quite right that taking your car will be faster.

We don't mind taking the bus as we like to go back to the resort after the water park for a quick shower and to change before going to a park as we have layers of sun screen on an my hair is nasty after a day in the water parks. :) If you prefer not to go back to the resort another bonus to you having a car is that you will have a place to leave your wet bathing suits, sun screen, etc. without having to carry all those items around the MK.

Have fun! We love the Disney water parks!!

drive to the water park, and then, assuming you're going to get change before BOG dinner, take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, the bus will drop you closer, taking into account that by the time you're getting to magic kingdom you will park the farthest from the park and will problably have to take the tram also

Just want to add that the values and mods don't typically issue parking passes anymore. When you get to the parking pay station, you tell the attendant that you are staying on site. Be prepared for the attendant to scan your magic band. Sometimes they do, other times they just wave you in. I believe some of the deluxes are still issuing parking passes because they are closer to the parks and more likely to have people trying to park there for free.

Def. drive...the bus transportation to/from the water parks is completely ridiculous. You won't have to pay if you have a resort reservation on property.

Are there buses from the water parks to MK (and without a "transfer point")? Also, how do you suggest they get back to the water park for their car after they're done at MK?

Thank yall all very much! I have read that there are showers at the Water parks so we could change and shower there and then head straight to MK was my thinking. I don't mind riding the tram to the park because I'm thinking it would still be faster because I have heard at Pop that the buses come on a need to basis. we are going at the beginning of May while school is still going on. So I don't want to be waiting on a bus to come get us.

We have never been to the water parks and are very excited about going to them. I have read that there are showers at the water parks in the bathrooms and we are just going to do that and change there.

I think they meant drive to the water park and back to your resort to change, and then take the bus to MK from the resort.

I'm assuming they will drive to the water park and afterwards drive back to the hotel to get changed then take the bus to MK

I've been wondering something similar. I had originally thought to go from SSR to Blizzard Beach to Ohana. That would have required SSR -> AK -> BB ->AK -> Poly. Finally decided to switch things around and make this a resort dinner instead. I'm OK with the extra time of buses...but that was looking like overkill.

Take uber. Uber from SSR to BB to Poly. It will cost $15 tops.

OP, if you don't feel like driving and having to park at TTC, I would suggest uber as well. If you Uber from BB to MK, ask them to drop you off at CR and walk to MK or GF and take the monorail one stop. We do this ALL the time! I can't handle the Disney bus system anymore and would rather spend $15 a day to avoid it if it offers more convenience.

This would be my choice as well. I much prefer going back to the resort to shower and change...so much better than showering at the water park. I would drive to the water park, stay until 3:30ish, then drive back to Pop. Get showered and changed and take the bus to MK.

Just because of the amount of stuff we would have to lug into the water park to shower and change for a park evening- I would drive back the room and shower there. But water park/pool bathrooms and showers gross me out.

FWIW ... You could take a bus from the water park to the Contemporary and walk to MK ... it might be a little quicker than coming from the parking lot at MK.
