Is it easy to travel around OKW? I realize that the buildings are spread out, but can you walk from all buildings to Olivia's, the main pool and the HH. Or do you need to hop a bus from some buildings? How about at check in - Do you walk to your room or do they somehow transport you there? We have never stayed here before and my 5yo daughter and I will be checking in later at night, after arriving in Orlando at 7:45 pm and taking Magical Express to the resort. We plan to hit Olivia's for breakfast some mornings as well as trying out the new slide. When going to the parks is it a better idea to get on a bus at certain stops over others? Or does it not take a large amount of time to make all the stops? Any information appreciated! Thanks!

We can walk from the farthest buildings at OKW to HH in about 15 minutes. If there is a bus near a stop on your way, just hop on as it will stop at HH before leaving the resort, but the walk is pretty easy.

Bell services is available to assist with luggage and take you to your room at check-in. They use large golf cart type vehicles and vans depending on what's needed for your situation.

There are 5 bus stops at the resort - the usual order is Peninsular Road, South Point, Old Turtle Pond, Miller Road and Hospitality House. It usually takes about 10-12 minutes to make the stops at OKW. The first couple of stops will always get you a seat on the bus- sometimes a bus may be pretty well filled by the time it reaches HH. I'd just get on the bus at the stop closest to your building. Mornings from about 9am until 10:30 tend to be the busiest times - afternoons, most buses are very empty.

Enjoy your stay!! :)

We didn't really like this about OKW to be honest. We ended up driving to the main pool, refill mugs, Olivias etc (and parking there is dreadfull also) so having a car was nice.

We like the transportation options at OKW. The bus service is great, and there is an internal bus as well as the buses to the parks that can be used to get to HH. Walking has not been an issue for us either, even when staying at South Point. Compared to the walking in the parks, it is a breeze!I would advise AGAINST driving to HH, because the parking lot there is meant for those guests checking in, and it is often very difficult to find a spot there.

We won't have a car so we'll be dependent on the buses for the parks or walking in the resort if it's easy enough.

Easy and beautiful! Like Doc says, if you are walking past a bus stop and a bus is there, hop on for a ride to HH.

I never saw the internal bus when we stayed in April. It is like a regular bus or more like the little carts they use at Coronado Springs?

The bus service worked well for us last week at OKW. We were seven people & took the bus to the four major parks. The internal bus is the Downtown Disney/Blizzard Beach bus. It stops at the Hospitality house first & last & was marked Internal when it first came into OKW.

As Judith noted, the bus returning from DD is the OKW "Internal" bus. It will stop at HH before going to the other stops and returning to HH before exiting the resort. It will normally be marked "Internal" only for the first HH stop and then changes to DD/Typhoon Lagoon for all of the other stops. Unless you're waiting at HH, you won't actually see a bus marked "Internal"- but since every bus stops at HH before leaving, any one will get you there. (If you want to ride to HH, I would always ask the driver if the bus will stop there- there are occasions when they modify the route and stop at HH earlier.

Enjoy!

I've found it quick, easy, and painless to take busses to the HH. We've always stayed near the Turtle Pond pool, and I get on the very first bus that comes and verify that they plan to stop at the HH (have had a driver go past it once, despite people screaming that they wanted off).

To get from HH back to the room, I walk out of Olivia's /the pool area and cross the street and walk a very short distance to the Peninsular Road stop and take the first bus that stops there.

Hope you have a great trip! We love OKW.
