Hi, we are staying at the GF and i originally had Ohana for my bday breakfast, but then i decided against it since we will have DD1 and DD4.. i thought 1900 would make more sense since we will be there. I can't get an adr, i keep checking though. Once we are there, will the resort make room for us since we are staying there?

They might but they won't make anything available that isn't on line so I wouldn't bet on it. I'd keep looking if you want to switch.

congrats on your Escape Wedding!! I got married at the Poly, Sunset Point, Escape Wedding NYE of 2008 :) It was amazing! Best tip.. get Randy Chapman for photography and his partner Stan who does the videography.

has anyone noticed if there is a lot more online availability 24 hours before the time they want b/c of people cancelling?

They seem to open up a bit within a few days of the reservation as people do cancel, also check around your 60 fp+window, when people might let them go based on the fp+. Also, follow the cancelation thread for your month. You might run into some pixie dust.

I need to get rid of that ticker... We got married last month. My sister actually did use Randy for her wedding in 2010 though, lol.

The resort might not hold a reservation for you just because you are staying there. But we have had luck getting into Boma and Whispering Canyon for breakfast right when they opened. It might be different at a character meal though, but if you can't find an ADR and really want to go it might be worth it to just show up right at opening. What is the worst that can happen, they say no and you walk away. Is your 'Ohana one for right at opening? If not you could keep the reservation as a back up, but then you might lose out on the cancellation fee....

i actually cancelled the Ohana, since i'm paying OOP i didnt want to spend that much on breakfast with such a limited menu. 1900 has a big variety and we're staying there so there's no travel to deal with. I think we'll just stick with our plan to eat breakfast at the beach bar. thanks!
