This is the first time that we will be doing the regular dining - always have done quick service. When you are making ADR's, how many of you just go through picking times & not really sure if that is your final decision? Example: Do any of you make 2 dinner reservations for the same day just so that you can have them and then make your decision later?

We are just really undecided as to where we want to eat some days and can't make a final decision yet....especially since we are keeping the trip a surprise from our kids for the time being...trying to figure out what everyone would want.

Thanks!

I don't think you can make 2 reservations like that. When I was adjusting my ressies the online system would alert me that I already had a ressie around that time and I had to cancel that one before it would let me make the new one.

I think you can if you have different MDE account and email that are not linked/tied anywhere. Unfortunately, my DH can't be bothered with that. He can't plan or think of anything beyond the next day - lol!

For some reason online allowed me to double book many ADRs. Now I didn't do it because I know it's a big no-no at Disney & can cause red flags on my account. But I thought it odd that the system would at times allow me to double book & other times would give me the warning.

We are surprising our kids too, but I just went ahead & made all the ADR choices for our family. I know they will be beyond thrilled with whatever I choose. I strongly advise you come up with the best plan possible. You can always play around with it later as you add & drop.

But you will drive yourself nuts if you try to keep your options open. Plus, it's only fair to others trying to get ADRs that you don't take them all, which is why Disney frowns on double booking & is supposed to not let that happen, although it did with me several times.

Good luck!!! Really, by the time you figure out your plan for which parks on what days, you will find you need to pin down your ADRS. :)
