Getting adr's for large or small party?

We have always been lucky and have pretty much been able to get the ADR's that we have wanted. We will be meeting up with another family of three a few times while we are in the world in September. I was curious, do you think that it is easier to get ADR's for larger parties, such as 7 people (not quite a grand gathering) or 4 people? Before we had children, my husband and I were able to get into almost anywhere when it was just the two of us. It sure seemed that tables for 2 were easy to come by. Maybe its because we always wanted character dining and there are fewer lone couples that want to eat at these types of places. It became a little more difficult when we had the kids. I was just curious what your experiences have been with this.

I am wondering the same thing. We will also be there in September, and having dinner with another family severial nights of our stay.
