Getting a shave in the spa

I'm considering doing this at the spa, but wanted to get some opinions and experiences. Specifically what kind of razor do they use, but also just general opinions.

It's just a wet razor shave. The facial they combine with it is very nice, but honestly I could have done a better job shaving myself (with fewer nicks!).

Really? My Dbf has really sensitive skin so I was hoping he'd enjoy this without issues.

It is a Gillette Fusion razor with the Eleminis products . My husband was super disappointed in it considering the price. He said he he would never waste the money again.

My husband loathes shaving and does the bare minimum at home. He has booked the shave on our last two cruises and has enjoyed them. He has very sensitive skin and breaks out easily. It does irritate his skin a bit, but he enjoys the experience.

Add me to the "never again" camp. I use an electric razor at home and was really looking forward to a baby's-bottom smooth straight razor shave. What I got was inconsistent, like the way a lazy teenager mows a lawn (with nicks in some areas and swatches of missed hair in others).

I've done this on the Fantasy. As others have noted its simply a shave with a standard razor (not a straight razor) along with a very nice facial treatment. They explained that they don't use a straight razor for safety reasons concerned about the motion of the ship. I might do it again sometime, but not rushing back to do it.

I have had facial/shave treatments at sea and in men's boutiques on land, and the land experience is much better and more consistent.
Not my regular cup of tea, but they make a great birthday/Fathers Day gift. I understand why my DW loves being pampered after I leave the chair!

Go to the Art of Shaving in Downtown Disney before the cruise if you want to treat yourself to a shave as part of your vacation, Straight razor and men’s facial. You probably won’t have to shave till halfway through the cruise afterwards.

+1 for this! Family got me this for Father's Day a couple years ago and it was a small slice of heaven.

The husband I mentioned in my earlier post? He LOVES the Art of Shaving. We have one locally, and every year for Christmas my sister and I get him gift cards to use there for multiple shaves. He's also used the one in Disney Springs; he can't say enough positive things about it.
