Getting a ride to/from resort - Cancel DME?

A friend of mine who lives in Orlando has volunteered to pick me up at the airport and take me to my resort... and then do the same on my return day, taking me from the resort to the airport.

Do I need to contact Disney's Magical Express and let them know that I won't be using the service? (I had signed up for it when I booked the trip.)

Or should I NOT cancel, in the event that something happens and he's unable to pick me up or take me back?

And finally, I was a given Fast-Pass Plus card because of my participation in Disney's Magical Express... will I lose it if I end up not using DME? (I'd think not.)

Thanks!

Mike.

It is a good thing I have no friends in Orlando or I'd be sleeping on their couch!

I would keep the option, It really won't matter that much for your arrival as I do not think they keep close track of who does not use the service. But for your flight back you may want to let them know after you receive the day before notice that you won't need the service.

The card will still work no matter what. Like the money bonuses they give for booking thru Disney, they're a free gift, you don't have to use them.
Thanks!

Mike.

Make sure you have a great time.
