Hey all,
Ive been a member for all of 5 minutes and Im posting (go newbie go!).
Anyhow, here is my cause for the internal butterflies (the not so good butterflies):
My fiancee and I are planning a trip to DisneyWorld February12th-February19th. This is mainly because it encompasses our anniversary (V-day). We always take this week off and travel to many a location (Montreal, Savannah, Quebec City to name a few), and decided this year we would trek to Florida and let the kid inside us play for a week
I know that the beginning of February is generally mild crowds and that Presidents weekend and week are a bear at Disney.....and Im fretting about how our little week falls in the mix.
Now, we'll be out of Florida before Presidents Day rears its crowd loving head...but Im sure that Valentines Day brings more then its share of loving couples. Dont get me wrong, I think it'll be nice to feel the love from everyone..just hoping Im not feeling it in shoulder to shoulder masses.

Anyone been during V-day or in the week prior to Presidents day? Anyone ideas? I just am hoping for a little advice

Thanks!

P.S. LOVE LOVE LOVE the smileys! :rockband:

I've been on Valentine's Day when it feel on the Friday of the start of Presiden't Day weekend (follow that....). Anyhow, there is nothing special done in the parks to mark the day, nor were there any crowd increases. We were at Epcot. Some PS's are going to be harder to get, but that was about all. The next day is when the crowds really picked up tenfold!!

Welcome to the DIS as well. There is so much info here to help plan your trip. In addition to the forums we also have plenty of informational pages as well. Here you can check it out: http://www.wdwinfo.com

Hey Leogrrrrl,

Welcome to the boards. Sorry I can't help you about the crowds but it's always nice to see fellow Del-a-where-ians on this site!!

I went last year during the week before Valentine's Day. We left on Valentine's Day. (How sad is that!) Anyway, President's Day was the following Monday. Friday at the MK was very crowded. Much more so than the rest of the week. I left and went to EPCOT. It wasn't bad at all.

You definitely want to get a park hopper pass. That way, you can wrestle the crowds at MK or move to another park.

Thanks everybody (and hello Tigger...glad I can help build up the Delawhere moral around here!)
We are planning to try MK Monday (Valentines Day) because it would be kind of romantic to spend our anniversary there (plus it is our favorite park, followed closely by Epcot!) We were planning to spend the whole day there because it is the only day that doesnt collide with Presidents day weekend when Spectromagic is featured (never seen it :guilty: ).
I feel a little better now though since you said it wasnt abnormally crowded for V-day and we will be outta town before Presidents day !
