Okay,

We are a few weeks into January; we are back from visiting all the families, my tree is down, and almost all my holiday stuff is back where it came from!
So now, I'm making January 15th my new, New Years. It is a better time anyway because now the holidays are really done. I am ready to put my behind into gear and get into the shape I want to be in!
I will meet with a trainer tomorrow at the gym, that Jeff and I joined. I only am meeting him once a week, to the trainer's disgust, but Jeff and I will be going every other day together (we hope). I just wanted to put this out there in case anyone else out there was tackling a resolution like this. I'm sure there are other threads here like this it is on every brides mind but, I couldn't find one, so I thought I would just put one up. I could use some help finding healthy food ideas. My idea of cooking is take out or PB&J. If anyone else wants to make up a lil' group and motivate each other to our goals just let me know! http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/yay.gif
 
Good luck to you girl! For just starting out, working one day a week with the trainer plus extra days on your own will be plenty, you should see some great results!
 
I have joined a gym in the first week of Jan and went for 5 evenings in the first week, and will try to fit in 4 days this week. I dont have a trainer, but i am doing about 2 hours every night at this gym doing runnning mixed with walking uphill on the treadmill, riding on the bike and another but i cannot remember the name of the piece pf equipment. (like a skiing machine!)

I have also stopped eating junk and numerous meals a day (i am upto 12st! eek) i am now eating healthy and my calorie intake has dropped a lot through healthy eating. The thing is, i havent lost any weight at all yet!! I have treated myself to a take away at the weekend, but im sure thats allowed! hehe.

Last night i thought to myself, i have never gone to the gym before and had any excercise, surely weight should be falling off me? I will stick to it, but i hope that i will start to get back into shape or i will feel like its no use and not doing anything, so i will stop. I am going to Florida on March 4th, and i really wanted to slim down before then (so i can enjoy my food out there!) and i will keep to my diet and excercise up until the trip - im just preying that the results will start happening soon!
 
I joined a gym too! I have only been there 3 times since the start of the year. Not because I am lazy but I had a bad cold then we all caught a nasty stomach virus! But I can say that now that i feel better i will be going every other day maybe everyday.

I changed my diet too. actually i am due for a small snack now!

I am glad to see that i am not the only one doing this!!!:cutie:
 

I am joining the gym next week! i have bought jillian michaels 30 day shred and let me tell you, the words that come out of my mouth when doing her workout... I WOULD BE BANNED from WDW

For those of you who cant get to the gym I would highly reccomend this. I used it for a month andhave lost 5 lbs. I am 10 lbs away from my goal weight!

You said you wanted to have some ideas for healthy foods.... well start with the basics, substitute regular pasta for whole wheat...its tastes the same b ut is more filling!

For breakfast I usually have a banana in raisin bran
then i have a snack later on, sometimes a soyjoy, sometimes a fiber one bar
then for lunch a apple with a yogurt.
Dinner consists of salad, veggies and grilled chicken. I use lemon on the salad, and on the chicken to spruce up the taste. After doing this for a month,Ive gotten used to it. I cut out anything b oxed (ex-cookies etc) and when I get the urge for baked goods, I buy Vitatops... or vitamuffins. Their only 100 calories and FILLED with good stuff. Theres a website also called hungrygirl.com who has tons of healthy ideas. I am hooked!! if anyone wants to keep a group on here togehter I would love to join!

Also, I use fitday.com to monitor my calories. And it's great!
 
I am so in for this!!!:yay: DF and I started slacking around Thanksgiving and never got back to the gym until the start of the new year. Now we've made a gym schedule and we make sure we stick to it! A group like this would definitely be helpful to keep motivated and stay with it! Good luck ladies!!:jumping1:
 
Good luck to all of you. I too am watching what I eat, and doing some exercises at home (I got the Core Rhythms DVDs for Christmas). I do plan on doing a Cardio and Core bootcamp in the spring...however until then its running on the treadmill and working out at home.

Ha, I also have the 30 day shred DVD, and I LOVE it...she's brutal, but in a good way!!!
 
I was thinking about getting a wii fit to supplement going to the gym. they have Jillian Michaels for the wii fit! I dont know if i can handle her! she's a tough cookie! they also have my personal fitness coach. since i can't seem to get a wii fit anywhere right now, i might just use that for now since it doesn't require the balance board.

This is funny because Cory and I tried going to the gym last year to get our butts in shape.....didnt work spent the money and didnt go. But now we got Wii fit for xmas and it really works much to me not thinking it would. So Just letting you know it works and it yells at you if your not on it everyday! I had a post like this a few weeks ago, and from DsnyDMBnts inspiration, I joined WW, so far I have lost 6 lbs. Its coming off slow, but its coming off!!
 
Well I started jogging again this week, been out twice so far but its soooooooooooo cold outside that its a real struggle to get motivated !!!

I will perservere and hopefully lose a little weight before the big day.

I have been counting calories since Jan. 1st. I started exercising about 5 days ago. I had been taking tonalin which really helps with belly fat and quit taking it before Thanksgivng so now I am back on that. I am all belly and I just feel blah. I know I want to feel energized and healthy by the wedding and also look good in that dress! Good luck to everyone out that is trying to lose. It is soooooo hard!

yeah i was just on it a little bit ago....they have tons of things you can do for it. i love it they have somthing similar to a step class my fav. also you can do yoga and strength training.....blanace games...and i'm having a brian fart but somthing else. i also have a cheerleading for my wii fit havnt tried it yet but looks like fun!!!

The feeling blah thing is so me. I really didn't know how to describe it but, blah is perfect. I use to be so into fitness and just doing it! Now, I feel like a jerk for how I was to some of my friends because I never was sympathetic to the not "feeling like it" thing. That's why I need this thread! Because before I got on I was debating about staying home tomorrow and doing my laundry instead of going to meet with the trainer. I can't recall being in a funk like this, I use to think it was from being in love and comfy thing, you know dinner dessert and a movie on the couch. Who cares about being hot for the girls night out anymore, I'm going to be a married lady. But now, I'm like this has to end, my hot jeans don't fit anymore and my fat jeans are tight! Yikes! So thank you all ,,,, so much , your all doing it so can I! I mean we, DF is coming with me.
P.S. He brought me a donut today on his lunch break, he said" they had them at the office and I saved you one". I said no, but thanks then we talked about getting serious, so tonight he made chicken on the grill. I told him too, that his mom said over the weekend that we both looked a little heavier!, and she sent me some diet books! By overnight mail! Okay, whatever I am 5'2" and have gone from 115 to 135, so yeah I have but , I don't even know what to say!
