Gettin' Fit Bride, looking for strength in numbers

I just want to say again how awesome you all are! I am so in love with the disboards, I have actually started to talk about it to my family, friends and co-workers, all the time. I haven't been like this about something on a screen sense friends was on tv. Well, I have to go to bed so I'm rested for tomorrow. I'll check in and let you know how day one went!

So I just mentioned I went from 115 to 135 this year, yeah thats 20 pounds. but now i feel like i have to say that i also quit smoking in june.
and haven't had one sense.

Also, let me know how the wii fit does. Jeff wants one and I was thinking about it for his birthday.

The feeling blah thing is so me. I really didn't know how to describe it but, blah is perfect. I use to be so into fitness and just doing it! Now, I feel like a jerk for how I was to some of my friends because I never was sympathetic to the not "feeling like it" thing. That's why I need this thread! Because before I got on I was debating about staying home tomorrow and doing my laundry instead of going to meet with the trainer. I can't recall being in a funk like this, I use to think it was from being in love and comfy thing, you know dinner dessert and a movie on the couch. Who cares about being hot for the girls night out anymore, I'm going to be a married lady. But now, I'm like this has to end, my hot jeans don't fit anymore and my fat jeans are tight! Yikes! So thank you all ,,,, so much , your all doing it so can I! I mean we, DF is coming with me.
P.S. He brought me a donut today on his lunch break, he said" they had them at the office and I saved you one". I said no, but thanks then we talked about getting serious, so tonight he made chicken on the grill. I told him too, that his mom said over the weekend that we both looked a little heavier!, and she sent me some diet books! By overnight mail! Okay, whatever I am 5'2" and have gone from 115 to 135, so yeah I have but , I don't even know what to say! Long story short, No laundry will be done tomorrow, I'm going to the GYM! :yay: http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/yay.gif

I have put on about 20 lbs since the start of DF and my relationship too. I was just caught up in being in love and put off exercising and we would go out to eat way too much. Then getting engaged and some other family stuff has had me sooo stressed. It is just so easy to get caught up in life and neglect yourself. If we all just make a little time to exercise and plan out our day, we can all be fit brides. :goodvibes

something that helped "kick start" my metabolism, i ate something every 3 hours..I forced myself to eat breakfast (which i never did before) a mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner

It helped keep me from getting so hungry that I wouldn't binge!
20 almonds, or a bag of carrots really take the hunger pangs away...April 2007 I was 226 and this time last January, I was 180..today, I am 154..

GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!

Wow, you really are in gear! I want to know more about thoses Vitatops and Vitamuffins! You are the motivation, I'm talking about!

MY FAVORITE SITE to order from!!

They have to be kept frozen until the day that you eat them though. I have a allergy to white bread and things along that nature so I have to be careful with what I getbut these are completely healthy.

If you put them in the microwave for like 20-30 seconds and then throw some coolwhip on top its like a hot fudge sundae!

I agree! I made the mistake of trying to cut out a meal... silly me...

You have to eat consistantly, And Ive learned that. For breakfast I used to have a couple of grapes, or something on the go.. but now i force myself to a yogurt or cereal. Raisin bran really fills me and so does shredded wheat..

ALSO GIRLS Ibuy a box of fiber o ne cereal (NOT great tasting) and I make Fibercrispys!
Melt two tablespoons of smart balance
Melt one bag of marshmellows, throw in a cup of raisins when it begins to melt this will help the raisins to plump again... then
Throw in the fiber one cereal!!!

Its sooo good! Make sure u spray your pan before you put it in to cut the bars though it does get sticky...

We put wheat germ on top of ours and it was unreal. We've also thrown in some carob chips and it was delicious!!!!!

I have so many tips that Ive picked up over the last few years. I used to have problems in the past with restricting myself...... but since I'm over it i want to foccus on nutrition... And so its become a addiction to find the best tasting foods that are beyond healthy!

I'm doing Weight Watchers and changing gyms (I moved and my old one is too far, lately I have just been contributing to the gym instead of going) so it's back to a routine now.

I do the same thing. I eat something small ever few hours or so. Healthy choices of course. I watch my sugar intake as well. Like I will eat yogurt in the morning only instead of closer to bed. I try not to eat after 8pm too.

DisneyDmbNut~ you are a huge inspiration to me right now! I have about 40 lbs total that i want gone. My heaviest I was 210. Right now I am at 180 or so!

I used to be a stay at home mom (although technically the kids were in school until 3), and I was a weight watchers lifetime member and regular gym goer. I even ran the Disney Marathon in 2006. Then I got divorced, had to go to work full time, and couldn't afford my gym membership. Then I met DFi, and we got really comfy and I gained 35 lbs.

Soooooo, now that I have a deadline (wedding is May 30), I am trying to get back on that horse. I know all the rules, it is just hard to stick to them when you are out of practice. And finding time to get to the gym and not feel like I am neglecting DFi and my DDs is hard.

BTW, i have the Wii Fit and it was really fun for two weeks and then I didn't touch it again. I think once I moved it out of the living room and didn't see it every day, I didn't want to take the time to hook it up again.

I started eating right again as of January 2nd, have stopped drinking my calories, and just need a kick in the pants to start exercising again.:yay: Thanks for starting this thread. It may be the kick I needed.

Here is my first week update! I have lost 3 more lbs! This last ten has been hard to lose...and thats whats next...

Four years ago I was 178 lbs, at 5'1... so that wasn't good at all. I went away to a camp for nutrition and that was when I decided it wouldnt be my life..

Although Ive fallen off th eband wagon, I am telling you all, it is worth every lb that you lose. I have six months left to lose the ten lbs and I think I can make it happen. I am now at 120 lbs... and my gw is 110. (this is what i was when I was younger, andeven less than that during my ballet days....)

Fitday.com has also helped me alot... it keeps me on track!

Anyone else have an update this week they want to share? Even if its .2 lbs let us know! It makes you feel great!
