I usually do all my hotel's booking on my own directly through the hotel's website... But GetAwayToday has a 4th night free deal, which would take $140 off my stay. I haven't ever done anything through GAT, and have a question that I'm not finding in their FAQ...
If I should need to cancel (with more than 72 hours notice), what kind of fee is there?
What happens if the hotel has overbooked? I know that traditionally, those who book directly through the hotel have first dibs on rooms if overbooked, so the idea of not booking directly scares me just a smidgen.
I can't imagine needing to cancel for any reason, but, you know, life is, well, life and so I always try to make everything "cancel-able."
(Of course, I'll be calling the hotel this upcoming week to see if they will match the offer, or at least some type of discount.)
