I wonder if it will have the WDW special they promised us. I thought their DL special was better than what they use to show of it. They'll never do either of them justice.

Half the Getaway episodes are rehashed repeats. Same segments rearranged. So I'll keep an eye out but never expect much

I admit I didn't watch but apparently Sydney and Melbourne got the Syd vs Melb thing and the rest of us got the USA special which covered LA, Vegas, Miami and Aspen.

I know a number of us were unhappy about the DLR report however our complaints would never had led to the mention of Samantha Brown and I would not have ever known of her charms! I find her a bit more personal/approachable; funny and sincere that the smiley beautiful people Channel 9 have on Getaway

Arrghh I'm watching it right now on Gem - Is it only Canberra where Getaway is Friday night?
they're at DHS after going to MK and the Poly.
Frozen bananas and the Pixer Play Parade was the only thing they covered at DHS. Seems to be broken up into parts and scattered throughout the broadcast.
(BTW: how CRAP is that Pixar Parade - could they have done a cheaper job?

Umm - we've been having the whole Brand New Season promos all week - but they didn't advertise the content. I just tuned in based on all your posts!
Getaway isn't exactly something to live or die for

OK they are in AK - "the most amazing zoo in the world" EE - Kali - Pangara forest trail - K Safari - doing the Wild Africa Trek "Full On". "I've been to Sth Africa and this is pretty close". The Jungle Parade.
EPCOT - "Iconic golf ball" "kids will get an education and they won;t even know it" Mission Space, Test Track "for that Chewbacca experience" (WTH?), Italy, Germany, china, Mexico, Illuminations, did not show other countries or any Future World pavilions (other than those 2 rides)
And that's it!
Advertised V Australia. I didn't notice them advertising Touring Plans this time.
All over pretty fast - no food/restuarants, nothing other than the 4 parks and DHS didn't really have any rides featured (did list the stunt show, Star Tours)
Talked about how big it is ("over 100 sqkms") and that you'll need at least 4 days. "we've been here for a couple of days and it is hard to fit it all in" "Avoid US holidays and Christmas" "Come with a plan"

I just switched over to GEM and it's on! They are on a houseboat at the moment...is this the same ep as the Disney one?

Yep - that's it - but the houseboat is AFTER they have finished with disney. Yep that was all!! Blink and you miss it
they are now covering the greek island where Mamma mia was filmed

Aww Thanks...they have it advertised here as being 8pm Thursday so never knew it was on tonight. Sounds like I didn't miss much though.

you know after that crappy DLR one, someone mentioned Sam Brown and I've been looking at her Youtube stuff - she at leasts goes backstage, talks to CMs, gives hints and advice. Kate and Jason did less than the average tourist and I would wonder if Disney even knew they were there - they certainly didn't do anything for them - it was just lots of shots of them wandering around and point at stuff

HA HA HA Natalie is in Thailand at a water festival and she has Mickey and Minnie water pistols and they showed a kid in a Nemo hat - just as much Disney exposure in that story!

Not sure about other states, Sydney area originally to be shown on Thursday night, now changed to 5.28 to 6pm Saturday night and on GEM last night.
