I guess people have figured out how to scam the system. Book a campsite, add 10 fictional people to get 10 MB and multiple FP's. Get your reservations in.
That's right. Now I remember. It was so traumatic the first 100 times it came up, I blocked it out of my memory.
To the OP, not to make fun of you personally, but this really has been hashed out many times. It was alarming when the concept was first brought up, but other than a few isolated suspicions, there doesn't seem to be any real impact. I'm sure some people are taking advantage of the system, but it doesn't appear wide spread enough to be effecting at the Fort.
PP are correct that this has been hashed several times. Remember this summer it came up and when I went and observed during my stay there were few if any empty slots in the partial loop (least expensive of all) that I was staying in. Went to other partial and same there. Does this problem exists? Sure. Is it rampant? Not by my observation.
Now as far as getting the 10 magic bands, you would still have to get tickets for the made up people. At some point maybe the individual should just look at the guided VIP tours of the park? You get front of line access then and it may well be cheaper than buying 10 tickets? That turns into some expensive FPs after a while.
Don't be sorry...it makes me mad every time I hear about it...but then I step back and try to decide how awful it is based on actual reports. Seems like a lot of monkeying around for a small return on investment...and I bet a lot of people speculate about doing it and never actually do. And at least people can't do it for free dining!
disneyfan'ole, no need to apologize. I didn't mean anything personal towards you either.
I have to restrain myself when this topic comes up and that's why I chose instead to emphasize something positive - sharing the excitement and anticipation with folks who are actually going to stay and enjoy the Fort.
The less I say the better. But I'm not surprised it has reared its head again.
