You are aware, of course, that if you obstruct the boarding process, you can be arrested or tossed off the plane(or both). This applies to those standing and insisting on water, especially if the FA asks you to take a seat and wait until the other pax board. There is enough inconsideration with people as it is, let's not encourage more.
As to the TSA, ok, I do agree, some of their rules are inane, however, IMHO, you have beaten this TSA dead horse enough. It ain't going to move. You and I both know that the taxpayer cannot be "trusted" to do anything anymore. The best way to be trusted is to get the elected officials to actually a. listen to the people that elected them, b. get them to keep their promises and c. if they don't do a and b, vote them out.
If all these rules upset you, write to your congressmen or the president.
The TSA exempted the air crews because they saw no immediate threat (yes, yes, I know about the one deranged FA). BUT, I have heard and read about enough postal workers going postal, but, I still use the US Mail now and then.
I am still wondering about the exemption for KY Jelly. That truly has me baffled.
