I wish people would scan/edit their posts to make sure they're readable.

I understand your frustration, but you read something into my post that was simply not there. Is it possible that your unhappiness with being unable to work full time leads you to assume others are putting you down, when in fact they are not? Because that seems to be what might have happened here.

I definitely feel your pain. I have MS and while most days I am at 85%, I'll never be at 100% again. For various reasons, working just isn't easy for me so right now I'm a housewife and SAHM. It works for me and my family and they are quite happy to have me at home full time. My parents and siblings don't understand why we do it this way and just the other day my sister asked when I was going to go out and get a real job *sigh*

You are doing a good thing by volunteering :)

I think you might be right

If you are doing your best, then you need to learn to be happy with that. Don't compare yourself to others. For everyone, not just people with disabilities or challenges, there is someone who can do more, do something better, etc. You have to be happy with yourself! And if you feel that perhaps you aren't working at your full potential, then seek out other opportunities so you can shine. :)

Sometimes I don't feel like my best is good enough I know that sounds crazy

I never thought of it that way before but I would say compared to other people

Then you need to learn to let that go (easier said than done, but very possible!). I believe you mentioned working with a doctor on some anxiety issues (I apologize if I'm remembering the wrong poster). If you find that you're having trouble with your self-confidence, that's something they may be able to help you work on.

Sat outside today at a lovely restaurant with a great view. Unfortunately a loathsome individual sitting right next to my table had a foul mouth that was unrelenting and he spoke repeatedly in creepy and unkind ways about women. Would it have been improper to hit him over the head with something heavy?
or ask for a glass of ice water, then stand up and "accidentally" trip sending the icy water all over him?:rolleyes1

I feel your pain! Our town just put in a Diverging Diamond overpass. The residents have a poll going on when the first head-on collision is going to be. For those of you who don't know what it is, when you go over the overpass (over the highway), you switch to the "wrong" side of the road. Then at the end of the overpass, you go back to the "correct" side of the road.

Where are you from? My town has several of them and I like them but they do take some getting used to.
However I hate that people have NO idea what road signs mean! if there is NOT A YIELD sign and the road sign shows 2LANES then you do NOT need to STOP and wait for other traffic!! Seriously-this DD has been there for a few years now and people STILL cannot understand symbols....

Minneapolis has one of these between the airport and Mall of America. I thought it had to do with the transit train. Doesn't it make you wonder how the genius engineer ever got the approval for the modern marvel?

I'm a little bit annoyed by something that happened this weekend. I was bagered into doing a 10k obstacle course. All my mates said it would be OK and we'd all stick together...

Well 3km in and they buggered off! I was left with another group who I'd only just met that day and thank god they didn't leave me behind. Today's world it seems to be all about "myself" and teamwork is out the window.

I'm a little afraid to ask what is involved in a 10K obstetrical course.
Here's hoping you were on an obstacle course. ::yes::

"Reese's": pronounced "rees iz", rhymes with "piece iz".

It's not "rees eaze".

Of or belonging to a man named Reese (hence the apostrophe)! "Rees iz"!

And it sure as heck isn't "ree eaze piece eaze"!

To my sisters neighbor: I don't appreciate you letting your dog run wild and charge at me while you watch from inside your house. It may look cute, but it's attitude is not. Use a leash please.

Also, to the other idiot neighbor who likes to ride my tail when I'm driving down our street. Pass me for Pete's sake, but I'm going to speed up.
