I booked 2 cabins for 8 persons. I won't have everyone's' passport and won't be able to scan/upload their photos as we're all in different locations. Can I still get a PAT at 30 days out? Anyone have experience how to handle this? thanks, Elaine
You will still need pictures of their birth certificates to check in.I would just check-in at the 30-day mark and for those you don't have passports, just indicate you have Birth Certificates, get your PAT, then once you get the passports you can go in and edit those people to add details.
You still will need a photo as part of the process, just see if everyone can take their pictures and email them to you in advance.
You sure? I don't ever recall having to upload a photo of a birth certificate. Is that a recent change? You will still need pictures of their birth certificates to check in.
will taking a selfie on an iphone and texting it work? is email better? also, if I say Birth Certificate, I don't need to upload the BC or any additional info--like city/state of issuance, ID number on BC, etc.? We have 8 adults. Can I do everyone in both cabins (linked together and booked under my account) in the same login? I read something about only being to upload 2 adults? And, if using PP, what if uploading doesn't work? Can I still get a PAT? I have had issues before (there is a random space on my BC in my name--been there for 40 years). PP wouldn't scan for United airlines last month. Fine for AA scan and never had an issue cruising, but never had to upload for a cruise.
Agree with all of this. You don't need the originals to scan. Each party should send you their selfie and their passport as jpg photos. Are you planning on doing this all on your phone? A computer is better which is why someone suggested it be emailed.
Have all the adults send you a picture of themselves and a separate picture of their documents that need to be uploaded.
Either way, computer or phone, you need to save the pictures to a storage device in order to upload.
Yes it’s been like this since the online check-in. You need a picture of the birth certificate drivers license and a selfie or a passport in lieu of a birth certificateYou sure? I don't ever recall having to upload a photo of a birth certificate. Is that a recent change?
I know if you want to sail with birth certificate, you have to arrive at the port with it, but I've never had to upload it before.
Good to know. Maybe I've just always done passports for Disney cruises...Yes it’s been like this since the online check-in. You need a picture of the birth certificate drivers license and a selfie or a passport in lieu of a birth certificate
You have to upload a pic of your passport OR birth certificate for online checkin. Has been this way since sailings resumed last august. You can’t skip this step. Each section has to be completed before the next section opens. Selecting your PAT is at the end. No way to get one unless you complete the sections before it.You sure? Yes. This process was added when they resumed sailing. Basically, you are doing what you used to do at the counter in the terminal on the computer online in advance. Is this a since covid thing? I since I never remember doing the pictures before covid and our last cruise was feb 2020 and used birth certificates for kids.

IMHO, the best thing to come out of COVID is the new drill/assembly location procedures. Much prefer watching a video and leisurely making my way to the muster station for a quick check-in as opposed to having to stand on a deck somewhere, squashed in like sardines, waiting for the inevitable latecomers that either didn't have any idea what to do or just didn't care that they made everyone else wait.Along with the drill/assembly location procedures now, seems both of these changes are here for good.
I agree, this is great. We do it as soon as we board, then go to lunch.IMHO, the best thing to come out of COVID is the new drill/assembly location procedures.
