Get in Shape & Lose Weight for August 2014 Group

Add me to the slug club.. I've gotta kick it up a notch :)

With the kids off and sleeping in now, I haven't been as productive in the morning. You'd think Id have more time, but I'm just being more lazy I guess. The morning workout seems to be my key though, so time to get back to it. My cycle started a week early. I'm not real happy because now I'm at risk of having it during our trip. Uugh! I can't use BC pills because it drives up my pressure and gives me migraines.

So I can't face weighing myself this week. I know I'm up at least a couple pounds though. Less than two months to go. Time to focus.

I hear you on the kids sleeping in and not getting stuff done. I'm use to being ready to get stuff done when the kids would leave at 7am.

I'm also keeping a close eye on the calendar for "that" time.

I am so happy this morning. Had a good run with only a small side stitch that I was able to slow down and get rid of and then speed back. I ate oatmeal and a half a bagel then waited an hour before I went out. I was doing intervals so there were 4 times that I walked for a minute so that might have had something to do with it to. Will try this again for next time.

Wow a week early is a big change! Hopefully it won't show up on your trip like you're worried it might.

There's been big change in routine. It's okay to give yourself a bit of a break now that things have changed so much with kids out of school. 2 months is still plenty of time to find a new routine that works well for you. You'll find a way!

I was so mad at myself for not getting up for a walk this am but then I did a 3 mile walk pushing both kids in stroller - part of the new routine.....kids played at park so was a break in middle of it, but still. We can do this!

Ha! I hear you! Because there is no school I've stayed up past my 8:00 bedtime and can't get up to work out in the early am. Makes me so nervous bc fall will be here again so soon- but just trying to embrace the new routine and keep fitting in workouts which is ultimately most important!!

Morning Everyone I have been getting busy for a music festival I am doing this weekend so havent been on much. I went to the Doc's last Friday and while my blood work is great I have been having left hip pain for almost a year now so he is sending me to another doc probably be getting a shot in my hip..yea..not..
So he tells me what not to do and guess what I have been doing...exactly what he say not to do... running, stretching left leg over right leg, walking up hill.. great so i get to sit on the couch which is so not what I can and want to do. He believes I have an inflamed sac on my left hip so i have decided I have to keep walking but no running and do different stretches and ice more. I have been struggling with losing the weight so the last thing I want to do is sit and go backwards..:worried:

Oh no I hear you! I was side lined for just a few weeks and am now working so hard to get the stamina back that I lost. The good thing is that it will come back. Are there any exercises he ok'd?

August 14-22 - POP Century, driving

Trying to see if DH can get a fee more days off so we can leave earlier an visit relatives in NC and So Florida.

August 16-23 at Pop Century. Flying out of Manchester, NH.

The 16th is a room only and the17th starts our package. I really hope we don't have to change rooms. :)

As of right now we have only one ADR at Cinderella's Royal Table as I have always wanted to eat there. On this trip it will be me, my DH and my DS13 but my DS16 will be staying home with his grandmother. DS16 got to go to Costa Rica last Summer so this is DS13 trip.
 
You guys will have a blast! We stayed at POP the last two times and really enjoyed it! In fact, DS wanted to stay again, and I think he's still in mourning a little bit..

I've only stayed at the values (except Poly and CR when really young), though, so wanted to try something different. After going back and forth between renting points and booking moderate, we went with renting DVC. I'm compartmentalizing our trip since I don't know if we'll ever do this again, so..

Aug 16-19 Standard BWV Studio (Epcot/HS time)
Aug 19-21 VWL Studio (MK time)
Aug 21-24 AKV Standard Studio (on waitlist for 1-br value) (AK + water parks & more.. maybe some hopping)

Either this is going to be torture or fantastic.. I'm not sure which. It made it really easy to decide on which parks to go to on which days, though.
 
I've stayed at Pop 5 times and this will be my 6th time. I've never stayed anywhere else but I keep telling my DH that I want to stay somewhere else someday. Then I think about how little time we spend in the room and I just can't justify the cost.

Normally I can't either, but we had enough points on SW for free airfare this time ($120 total for fees and Early Bird) and we have about $800 rewards from our Disney Visa toward food, so I had some wiggle room this time. I found someone who rents points at $11 a point and was able to book at 11 months out. I averaged $165 a night. I still get giddy when I think about it. There's still that little bit of worry that I'll show up and they won't have my reservation.

Hey we will be there together!! We should run in the morning.........NOT! Lol.

I am regretting not booking CRT- I skipped bc DS won't care for it and DD is still a little young I think.
