get in @ 3:15 - what time to make ADR

I got a call last night at 8:15 saying that our flights change and now instead of getting in at 7:15 we are getting in at 3:15. I was just planning on getting something to eat at the POP food court, but now I am thinking that we might have time for an actual TS. I have been crossing Chef Mickeys off my list and putting it back on several times. Well now I am thinking of putting it back on since this would be in addition to everything else. We are going to be using Magical Express as we will not have a rental car for this trip. What time do you think we would be safe to make an ADR for Chef Mickeys???? Also if we do an order for Garden Grocer do we need to be in our room to receive it or will POP open the room for them? I have never done Garden Grocer, but I have never stayed on property with a small child either!! Would love your input! Thanks

Id say any time after 6:15 give yourself a few hours. You have to figure in travel time from airport to hotel and hotel to Magic Kingdom then the monorail ride to the Contemporary Hotel for Chef Mickey's. I dont know about Garden Grocer sorry cant help you there. Good Luck and have a great trip.

I would say go a little later, between 7 and 8. You have to figure, by the time you land at 3:15, deplane and get to the magical express and everyone boards, you're looking at 3:45 or 4. Then 45 min ride to the hotel. Then figure your check-in time, maybe 1/2 hour-ish... now we're at 5:15. Youre not gonna want to take your carry ons with you, so you need to run to your room and then back to the bus station. By the time you can on a bus and get to MK let's say it's gonna be 6pm. Now you need to get on the monorail and get over to the contemporary. So even if everything runs smoothly, you'll be there about 6:30, and they request you be there 20 mins before an ADR. Now, if your luck is anything like mine, something will put a ripple in it. I would say 7 at the earliest

The Garden Grocer will leave your groceries with the front desk if you are not there. They will refridgerate anything that needs to be.

7:00 would be safer in case you have some sort of delay. Also, since you are staying at POP it might be easier to walk over to CM if you happen to be pressed for time. POP will be the last bus stop at MK so it is closest to the CR. It is probably quicker to walk over to CR then to walk all the way over to the monorail and then wait for it to arrive.

Okay well it at least sounds doable! I will make a reservation for around 7:00 or 7:15. We still may end up staying right at POP I guess because we have never been there and may just enjoy checking it out and then eating CS there. I will make the ADR though just to have it. Thanks everyone
