Oh lord this is the most stressful part for me. The 10 days leading up to leaving for our trip. I completely stress out about something happening before we leave! I dread the kids getting sick. I don't even want to send them to school!! LOL! Do any of you get this way or am I just completely neurotic!!!

Totally. I have turned into a hermit the last 2 weeks with our trip coming up in 8 days. Canceled plans with people I know who r sick with colds and have been using hand sanitizer like crazy and taking zicam just incase. I am usually not this crazy but I'm hell bent on NOT being sick.

On our trip this past late Feb/early Mar we were not expecting such cool conditions....ill-prepared. I had packed one sweatshirt(as did the rest of my family) just in case. We all had to purchase add'l warm clothing while there...uggh..expensive. Will be prepared for any weatther for our early Dec trip. I guess its all about the timing and luck.

We are 9 days out now and I already started packing! It's in the 70s and 80s during the day now but I'm packing literally for every weather situation! Tank tops, t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, pants, capris LOL!

Well if the outlook stays similar to what the previous week is looks like 70's in the day, 50's in the evening. Last year it was similar for us. Nobody wore shorts the whole week. Jeans everyday. A hoodie over a t-shirt to start, by mid-day taking the hoodie off, evening hoodie back on. Quite cold. Hats and gloves weren't really necessary. I made the mistake of packing 2 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of jeans for each kid. We only had 2 pairs of jeans to last the whole week and my kids are so stinking messy. I'll be looking out for the weather though the next week and see if plans change. While the rain percentages are hit and miss, the temps are usually pretty darn close.

Well we are 9 days out and my son now has 2 ear infections. He will finish antibiotics the morning we fly out, so I am hoping it kicks in fast!
