I just went to Get Away Today to check on Disneyland tickets and now the most they offer is the 5 Day Park Hopper. :headache: I dont get it. Back in 2008, I bought an "8 Day park Hopper" from them for around $270 a piece and was thrilled with it. Then, when I went in January of 2012, the most they offered was the "6 Day Hopper" so I went with that and had a good time but missed the 8 Day. But now, the most they offer is the 5 Day, and they're charging basically the same price for it that they did in the past for the 8 Day. I don't understand why they keep taking days away and offering less and less. I really wish they'd bring back they're 8 Day Park Hopper tickets.

Any idea why they're doing this, or if they'll ever add more days? :confused3

In May of this year, they stopped selling anything over 5 days. Mainly due to the amount of fraud in the area. Disneyland is not hurting for business. Even after the price increases and reducing the amount of PH days available, the resort has the highest attendance ever.

Yup the "ticket agents" ruined it for us all. :sad2: They would take a 6 day park hopper and rent it usually for two days at a time. I've seen other posts here that Disney has not only made it more difficult and less profitable for these folks but they are busting the people using the tickets. I can't imagine what it would feel like to be turned away at the gate with a rental ticket, especially if you hadn't realized that what you were doing was fraudulent. :confused3

I suppose it also encourages more annual pass sales which probably also gives them an attendance boost when people like me that bought an AP for one visit decide they can squeeze in another before it expires. :goodvibes

Not only that, but the Ticket booths would allow the 6 day PH passes to be upgraded to 8 days, so those ticket agents, and southern California soccer moms alike would get to "share" even longer passes amongst each other and other strangers.

I'm just glad we are only staying 6 nights, with 5 full days in the parks. Had we stayed longer, I'd be pissed.

Ha! My plan is to upgrade when I arrive Dec 14th and squeeze in a weekend in early Dec '13!
