Get Away Today character meal vouchers

I'm sure this has been covered numerous times, but after reading several posts, I'm still a little confused!

We are going to DL/CA in November. By my calculation, for 3 adults and 1 child, we'd save about $20 on breakfast at Plaza Inn and another $20 on lunch at Ariel's Grotto (assuming the voucher's include tax and gratuity...the GAT site just says gratuity).

So, I buy these on line, and we get something in the mail or something electronically? Either way, these need to be exchanged at the ticket booth or can just be presented at the cashier for the meal?

We'll also have a 2-year-old with us but I'm assuming he just shares our meals?

Besides a price savings, any advantages/disadvantages to using prepaid vouchers over just paying at the time of dining?

We used these last year and have purchased them for our December trip as well! You will get a voucher which you take to the ticket booth outside the main gates, there they will verify it and give you a printed receipt which you take to your restaurant. Just make sure the main person on your reservation is with you, as they'll check ID's to help with loss. I LOVE having a few of our meals prepaid! It really helps with our budget.

I did notice a savings when I've compared prices and my possible other discounts with my Disney Visa. I think if you have a Premier AP the savings may be larger but that's the only one.

Yes, your 2 y/o is free and can eat off of your plate or their own My DD was 1.5 on our first trip and had recently been diagnosed with food allergies. Disney was fantastic about helping us find appropriate food for her even though we didn't pay for her meal.

We're there from Nov. 30-Dec 5, our character meals are Surf's Up, Plaza Inn and PCH Grill for Breakfast and Goofy's Kitchen for dinner! My DD is now 10 and still enjoys these immensely.
