Good Evening..

Is anyone one wearing/wore a get away outfit.. I was thinking about this, because it takes 4/5 girls to get my dress on, and I don't want my new husband to have to deal with this..

I was thinking of changing right before the last dance --- but have no idea what to change into...

We are having a farewell breakfast the next morning before we leave for California, which I am wearing jeans and a bride tank top (figured for a 6 hour flight == wanted to be comfortable..)

Well now that my rant is done -- what are you ladies doing for your get away outfit -- if any?

Thanks

What if you went for something white/ivory/cream that was the opposite of your wedding dress? Like, if you're wearing a big ball gown, you could change into a simple sheath. Or if you have a mermaid wedding gown, you could change into a short cocktail dress.

I've always loved the idea of a white getaway suit - something like Jackie O or Grace Kelley would have worn, with a jacket and pencil skirt. Maybe with a pillbox hat or a birdcage veil even!

I wanted to wear my dress again at our dessert party, though, so I just reaccessorized it a bit. The top part is a bit like the getaway suit I would have worn, with a jacket and birdcage veil...

I am not going to have a getaway outfit because we are staying at Disney for our honeymoon, but after our wedding, we are going into the park, which means I can't wear my dress into the park :sad1:. BUT, I wanted to continue the white theme in the park for our lunch reception (since I am still a bride:rotfl:), so I am going to wear a white cotton sundress all day in Epcot!

I'm doing the same. I found a knee-length white cotton sundress at Joyce Leslie for $24.99 and I'm gonna get myself a wrist corsage and I'll be sporting the minnie veil headband in the parks that day. ;) I'm making it known that I'm a bride.

That sounds like something I might do --- I might go more for a cream or ivory though -- I have tried on pure white sundress and they don't look so good on me.. Maybe I will try and find something with a color.. HMMM

Does Joyce have an online store? That's a killer deal!
