I don't know if they do or not, but if the system isn't transparent, which it is not, it is certainly not outside the realm of possibility.

Yeah, who knows what level Disney allows CL workers to access the system. What I do know from a one day visit in early December is that clearly certain CM's have more ability to make a change than others. Long story, but upshot was that FP+ CM's in Innoventions at Epcot changed my Soarin FP from late in the day to earlier so that I could ride with a friend. CM's at kiosks were not able to make that change.

I actually disagree with this. I doubt the CL staff have any additional access or are more likely get a FP+ that is otherwise unavailable. To me this is just an extension of CL staff getting ADRs. As a past CL guest, I can say that the staff has no ability (or willingness to try in my experience) to get ADRs that are not otherwise available. They are more than happy to check on availability, but there are no "set asides" for CL guests.

For the record, this has been my experience as well. For example, I get my BOG ADR on my own because the CL staff will only check occasionally for you and never seem to find any availability.

Also, to those speculating about FP+ availability through texting... I never checked the in park kiosks to confirm, but I imagine they were the same options. We went during slow times and the mountains were never available; we mostly used it for Haunted Mansion, Pirates, or Buzz. I'll be back at the GF at the end of the month and am expecting the same availability...the only "advantage" I perceive from the texting system is avoiding the kiosk lines and being able to book the next FP+ for a park you're not in yet.

We did this as well (CL @ GF). It was so easy and similar to the type of service we expect/use with our Amex. I/we never waited in line for a kiosk during the entire trip.

If the CL staff respond back with options, they must have some ability to hold the FP+ reservation. Otherwise, most choices would be gone by the time you confirmed.
