Has anyone eaten at the Biergarten lately? I can't decide between lunch and dinner. If it's lunch, it will be cheaper but it will have to be late, 3 p.m. I'm concerned that it will be a little "dead" in there that late, and it won't be as fun. But dinner costs a lot more, for pretty much the same food. Any recent experiences would be helpful to hear about!

I am not sure that they have they entertainment at lunch time. That may make a big difference in the experience.

We had lunch there this past September, and I can't wait to go back during our next visit! The entertainment began just as we were finishing our dessert, so yes, there is entertainment during lunch. I'm pretty sure the first show was at 1:15 or so, and I think every hour after that. The show ran for 15-20 minutes.

We had an ADR for noon and the place was soon packed. Unfortunately, this made the waiting time for the buffet line quite long. However, that said, I think there was a large group there the same time as us, so that had an impact on the crowd.

A later lunch should be fine. The food is very good, entertainment is great, and the price is lower.

I usually go to dinner, but this past August we did lunch at the Biergarten. The menu is very similar and there is not much difference for the $10 price difference. I actually liked that lunch had Frickadellen which they didn't have at dinner.

It was pretty quiet there, with a lot of empty tables. For some reason, we still had to share a table with a party of 2 girls... very awkward because the waiter made us all sit across from each other even though the table was only half full. I don't think they liked us sitting there. Usually I have pleasant experiences with other people. We had an ADR just after 3.

They did still have the show for lunch.

For the price difference, I would say go for lunch.

Actually, I think you're better off going for a late lunch. The price is cheaper and when we were therr last summer they put out the "dinner" options on the buffet at about 3:15- so we ate "dinner" but paid for lunch!
I think they only have the saerbraten at dinner!:thumbsup2

We do the late lunch as well. You'll never realize the menu is slowly being changed into the dinner one. It's much cheaper and the experience is the same. Here's the current show times:

Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm
Length of show: 25 minutes

You can see the entertainment is throughout lunch as well. And the beer tastes the same as well.
