Good morning ladies. I hope all is well with you all. Been extra busy, shopping for the baby (Tris is doing well), working, trying to get yard work done and the such.
We've been having some violent weather this past week. Today is just raining though. I am so sick of rain and muddy paws.
Went to some garage sales. Got a few onesies, a training chair, a booster chair that is a small high chair, and a motorized swing. This will be things that stay at Grandma's house. This way Tris won't have to drag much back and forth when they visit or when the baby stays here. Trying to find some higher ticket items for the baby 2nd hand so they won't cost so much.
Looking for a play and pack, which is a play pen that has a removable bed for newborns, which retail around $75 and up. I am also looking for a high chair, hopefully a wooden one. I know Babies R Us carries them, but not sure how much. Mom, Carrie and I may put our money together and get her one. We will be having her shower in Aug sometime. Oct. will be here before I know it and so much I want to get done before hand!
Lisa, I hope you and Tom are doing well. I still think of you guys quite often. Still sending prayers as well. Can never have too many of those
Diane, good luck with the meeting with the preacher! I know it's less than what you need, but hopefully God will see you through this. I know what you mean about getting into retirement. Mike and I are getting to a point where things are just coming to a head. With 4 vehicles going down at once, it really drained us to say the least. His cousin owns a garage, and he does our car work. Thankfully he let Mike help out at the garage a few days to help off set the cost of fixing the truck. We were already about $1200 into fixing it. He is a really nice guy, thankfully.
Kate, we actually ended up keeping an extra puppy. So we have 2 puppies now. Behemoth (aka: Sir Atlas Baer Deabenderfer) and Buster (aka: Sir Buster Brown Deabenderfer). They are getting huge! The will be 6 months on May 11th, and they are almost as tall as Tyson and weigh a little more than 40#! And they are 40# of pure muscles!! We finally got a temporary fence put up, so they are able to go outside and run and play all day if they want. On Easter they managed to get out of the fence. Thankfully they were up at the neighbor's yard, and I saw them right away. Managed to get them in the house. They had to go the whole way around the yard to get to the front door as all the other doors are inside the fence. LOL.
Ok, going to get ready for work now. Have a great day everyone!!
