Have any folks who do not drink gone to GEO-82 and can share their experiences (and if it's worth it)?

I'm going to WDW in Feb with my mom, who does not drink, and I'm trying to decide if it would be worth it for us. Of the two zero-proof options, she's not wild about either option bc the garden one is a bit too herbaceous for her tastes and she doesn't drink coffee so the other is out. Are the bartenders able to make any of the drinks into mocktails or is it just simply not possible? Additionally, we were looking at potentially doing the fireworks package (if we could even get it) for the view but for $179 per person is the view really THAT amazing and is the package worth it if you don't drink champagne?

On the one hand, we are big Epcot fans and the place looks amazing plus a lot of the food (the tuna, the charcuterie, the flatbread, etc.) looks incredible. But on the other hand, is she just going to be stuck drinking a club soda while everyone else gets to enjoy fancy cocktails? Will it feel like a "lesser" experience with a pretty hefty price tag?

Or, should I save this experience for when I'm going with folks who can get the full experience?

As a non drinker myself, I would pose the question: are your cocktails really worth that much money? Yes, alcoholic drinks are more expensive than non alcoholic drinks, but is your champagne *that* good? I think you’re paying for the experience and ambiance overall, the cocktails and mocktails are just a part of that. I think the question should be: do we think we would enjoys ourselves and are we ok with the price point?

Is she paying? If so she needs to make this call. Nothing wrong in going just for the food if that looks good but only she can decide if that’s worth it.

I can’t imagine paying the fireworks package price and not drinking the alcohol when Rose and Crown has a full meal for less.

I recently visited Geo-82 and Beak & Barrel. I very much preferred Beak & Barrel, both ambience and food, but if you want something more quiet and laid back, Geo-82 is ok. Geo-82 just didn't click with me for whatever reason. I did not try any mocktails at either place.

I can't speak to the mocktail selection, but you can do a "regular" reservation timed for fireworks and enjoy the view at a much-reduced price point. It's only a handful of tables right at the window that are for the package but honestly views from the rest of the room are good as well.

I went to Geo shortly after it opened in July.

I choose a featured non alcoholic drink while my companion had one with a rum margarita. My mocktail was based on a classic Manhattan and quite similar in taste to the one with booze. We split the tuna and flatbread with mushroom appetizers and I felt the type of edibles matched the environment very well.
Decided I’d return at some point once the hoopla had died down. Still hasn’t happened as I learned while trying to book an ADR during Thanksgiving week. In fact it’s become more dear in cost.
First trip I booked a regular ADR but this time around could only find the fireworks experience. Going with a friend who has never been to WDW so bit the bullet and booked the more expensive package. Yes, it includes champagne that I probably won’t drink (I admit to being a full on wine snob) but she will and happily so, I imagine. I know both of us will enjoy the appetizers, the atmosphere and the fireworks. We are going the night before we leave and I think this will end our trip with a bang.

Right now I think Disney is booking this for all it’s worth and of course the holiday season is the perfect time to take advantage. Once the off season begins perhaps it’ll be possible to book an ordinary ADR here.

We are going next month. My sister and BIL will be enjoying regular cocktails and I will not. It is my understanding from reading other posts that both GEO-82 and B&B have sodas available, so that is what I plan to have. It’s not like I will be cheap though. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they have their glassware in stock for purchase. I may not drink, but I love glassware.

I don’t drink because I don’t like the flavor. It’s not the alcohol itself, as I can’t stand the taste of food cooked with alcohol and I know the alcohol itself has burned off. I don’t like mocktails for the same reason, as they are typically made to resemble the flavor of an alcoholic cocktail.

We had the fireworks package booked, but decided to go with a pre-lunch reservation right when they open. Epcot is our last day and we were concerned that we might be too tired and want to leave early to pack up our stuff. Plus, my sister wants a drink that is not on the fireworks beverage list. I will admit that it would have been a waste of money for me as not only do I not like champagne but I don’t like two thirds of the food that comes with it either.

I will try to remember to come back and report on my success or failure at finding an acceptable beverage.
