Hi,
Are there loops that are dedicated to tents only? I am concerned about camping in a tent next to a RV who runs their generator all night. How quiet are the campsites?

Thanks!

Hi! Yes, there are loops that are designated for tents. We always stay in 1500. It's very quiet! :cloud9:

All site have power and water so no need to run a generator. But one of our stay Disney was update the power in our loop so we had to run our generator all day for your dog. Hope This Helps

All sites have electrical hook-ups so there is no need for anyone to run a generator. As with any campground how quiet it is at camp depends a lot on your neighbors. We have camped many times at FW in a tent and now a popup and have had a few noise issues. We were in the 1500 loop for tents and popups and had someone in the 1600 full hookup pet loop that had 3 very loud dogs that barked non stop one morning for a couple of hours while they were getting ready to leave. Also had to listen to a diesel pusher warm up for about an hour one morning. Both these things were not that big a deal and did take place around 9AM. Overall the campground is very quiet for a place that has over 1000 sites and cabins. You will of course hear the fireworks from EPCOT and MK and from time to time hear the faint train whistle from the MK. There are some sites that back up to the main roads and you may hear the internal bus traffic. You can ask to be place away from the road and bus noise is not a problem.

I've never heard a generator 'run' at disney. Like others said they have power.
In general most campers keep it down noise wise. In all honesty there are certain loops that tend to be noiser and those loops usually are the lower priced ones. Seems like with alot of these loops, the entire clan comes and its over crowed on the site and of course crowds many times equals noise.

Most of us don't mind people having a good time as long as its not 'rude'. FT W does have quiet hours. Last year in the 300 loop which is a pricer loop, lets just say there were 2 sites that were over occupied. One was had tentS and the other was a 5th wheel. They were one rowdy group, totally getting drunk ALL night. I know many other guests complained and disney did evict them from the campgrounds the next morning. They had totally trashed the campsites.
Anyway, IF you ever feel a fellow guest is out of 'control' noise wise do call the front desk/manager.

I have camped many times at FW and never had a problem with noise . But like others have said it all depends on your neighbors. I think the pet loops can have a little added noise only because dogs will sometimes bark. We always travel with our dog and at Christmas time our pet loop had alot of dogs , of course being a dog lover I was never bartherd by it. Never heard generators. I am always amazed how quite FW is esp at night.

when at FW we always stayed in a tent loop. they are pretty quite, but if you want to avoid generator type noise, avoid the sites right behind the bath houses. there is an AC system that kicks on and runs thru the day and night.

we didn't mind it as it provided some nice white noise to sleep by, but others beside us were bothered by it.)

The lack of noise is something I found quite amazing in FtW. Even with all the buses and cars running around, it seems like the landscaping "absorbs" a lot of the sounds. On our first trip down in May 2003 we stayed in 1600 in a site just a few feet from the road and the bus stop. The noise never bothered us.

As others have mentioned, generators aren't needed anywhere in FtW assuming there isn't a power failure or something since all sites have electric and water at a minimum. Most neighbors are respectful of the quiet time as well. If not, let the front desk know. Its not unheard of to see security kick people out.
