Generation Gap Bridge

Anybody know if the bridge will be open between Pop and AoA? Just curious. We love Pop but AoA looks really cool to walk around with some good photo ops. Thanks.

Talked to a CM when I booked our September trip. He said that it would be open but did not have a date. He also said that AoA would not share buses with POP. Only time will tell if the guy knows what he is talking about.

a blog I read today with a preview of AoA said yes, the bridge is open. The pool is fenced off and u need to use your KTTW to get in.

Yeah, I remember reading that they would not be considered sister resorts and that Pop guests would not be allowed to use the AoA pool. If the bridge was open I was wondering how they were going to keep them out.

At this point,it appears nothing.

The Big Blue is the only one of the 6 AoA/POP Pools that info points to being "gated".

It will be interesting to see if POP Guests "complain" about the "feature" Pool at AoA(The Big Blue) being "gated" while the "feature" Pool at POP(Hippy Dippy Pool) is not "gated".

Perhaps Disney is Planning on "carding" Guests at the other 5 Pools-only time will tell.

In regards to bus sharing, I can tell you about my experience with a POP bus driver!

When we were at POP in December 2011, I had asked about it and the driver was super nice and said that Disney had just ordered 20 brand spankin new busses strictly for AoA.

You're right about that. Even if you aren't staying at AoA, it will have some great photo ops and it will be fun for guests to explore. In fact, I'm hoping to come over to Pop; I want to get my photo taken with Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head!!!!

I really don't think that they will. Most guests going to AoA are so excited about going to a brand new resort. Why would you go to a brand new resort and then go to swim at another one? Swimming in the new pools will be part of the fun in going to the AoA. As time passes and AoA isn't new anymore, then you may have an 'Invasion of the Pop Pools'!
